This is a true Saturday Night Special,,,
.22 Short 1960's vintage Rohm Revolver from Germany.

This was the first handgun I ever purchased with my own money.
I purchased it at a garage sale in Oklahoma City in 1965.
If I recall correctly, I paid a whopping $5.00 for it.
I surely did not tell my Mom.

The front sight fell off somewhere in the middle of the first box of cartridges.
I told my Dad that I took it off, so it would clear my pocket easier.

He said that was a great idea.

When I pulled it on someone and they took it from me and shoved it up my arse,
Without that front sight it wouldn't hurt near as badly coming back out.

Not only ugly but a PITA to load.

EDIT: sorry passed tense Owned, and old GF owns the thing now.

Probably my ruger 22/45. Shoots so well though I could care less how it looks. Plan to one day update it to a MKIII hunter in stainless. Don't care much for blued finishes.

By the way mattlago I actually like the look of that CZ you posted. Looks alot like a Sig 230 with a longer barrel. Only thing I dont like are the grips, if I could not find replacements I would throw a houge handall sleeve on there.

Microgunner - I don't think it's ugly either... maybe different?

If there's an ugly one in my collection, it might be my H&R Topper. But, it was my Dad's and he gave it to me the week he passed away at 91, so it's fine-looking to me. As to a handgun... probably my Lefaucheux pinfire (12 mm), but it has a certain something about it as well. My Dad picked it up in Belgium during WWII.

This is a true piece of junk that I bought in my teen years
somewhere around 1968 or 69. Can you guess what make
it is? Hint: It's not a Smith & Wesson.

Take your pick:
1895 Nagant
Hi-Point C9
CZ 52
Polish TT-33
Romanian TT-33
Yugo M57
Taurus Public Defender Poly
To the steel & wood crowd my Glock 20, Springfield Armory XD40 Subcompact, and LCP also qualify!!!

In my opinion non of the above are. Some just "different"!

These days, an LCP is as bad as it gets.
In the past, I've owned my share of Glocks and KTs.
Free at last, free at last... :)

Edited to add: I don't think that Rhino is ugly. A tad homely, maybe, but it is an interesting design that may have some real advantages, and I would consider owning one. As we said many years ago, form follows function.
