What would be the one rifle to have if you could only have one?

Actually it's a reasonable situation. Lots of folks can't afford more than one in the first place and there's probably more than a few that, after owned one or more for 30 years, finally realized that a) he never shot them, b) he was too old for the militia and c) they stopped being fun and not to mention d) the money supply seems to have dried up.

Besides, it was awfully hard picking just one.

Feed yourself?

I hope you like eating crow cuz that's what you'll be eating after you run out of squirrels and rabbits.

Me - I like pork, it's the other white meat!

Good luck putting ham on the table with a .22
Raccoon, possum, feral dogs, prairie dogs, chipmunks, pigeons, dove, ground hog, beaver, otter, javelina, sparrow, and by the way a good shot with a 22 has no problem putting down a feral hog if he knows where to shoot him. Bigger is better but 22 is big enough unless you are going after large critters that can stomp you into bloody mud or eat you.

After buying My Colt AR15, I'd have to go with it. Simple, effective, accurate, reliable, light, and easy to shoot. It's not my favorite rifle, either
