What would be the one rifle to have if you could only have one?

My choice is ( drum roll please )

My Savage 112
OK 5 barrels so far
221 f ball
222 rem
22-250 rem
25-06
30-06

Scopes for each barrel
sav r b 2 trigger
hunting and target stock

I can change my barrel in about 5 min and mount the matching scope , be on paper and sometimes in 2 inches the first shot every time at 100 yds
This past Sat. Ichanged from the 22-250 to the 221 f-ball and the first shot was 1/2 inch right and dead on height , 5 shot group was about 3/8 inch c/c:D

Very few things this rifle won't do - for me, at least.

If I could only have one it would be the one I bought for deer hunting when I was sixteen a M93/1916 in 7x57 mm Mauser. It is fun to shoot with 115gr HP for rabbits and coyotes,139-145gr for deer and antelope, and 175gr for anything bigger

I've owned AK's, AR's, and such... but after holding an M1A Socom in my hands for the first time, I knew I had finally found the ONE. I recently bought my second M1A Socom because I love it so much.

M1A all the way!!

I use my Scout most often because it's lighter and handles well.
150 grainers do everything i ask inside 300 yards.
That'd be my one rifle.

I own AKs, ARs (had a FAL & CETME,) a couple of bolt action rifles, and a couple of .22s. If I could only own one it would either be my Trapper .44 lever or my 94 30-30. The distinction would be whether I still lived in Indiana that restricts centerfire hunting to pistol cartridges.

I'm assuming this is one rifle to do everything. In that case I would try to get medium-power cartridge that could be handloaded for different tasks. I think a Marlin 336 would be a good choice, because it would handle any and all critters that we have around here if I loaded to appropriate power levels.

Firearms are like potato chips, you can't have just one.

with out a doubt it would be the LARUE 18 INCH OBR .The one rifle that can do everything under $3000.00 .VOLUME OF FIRE ,UP CLOSE ,LONG RANGE 500 METERS,HUNTING ANY GAME IN NORTH AMERICA, SHTF ,1/2 MOA AT 100 YARDS WITH A GOOD SHOOTER AND GOOD GLASS, HD, AND SHOWING OFF AT THE RANGE . IT IS THE TOTAL PACKAGE . AND IT LOOKS LIKE A MILLION BUCKS . GO SHOOT ONE AND SEE FOR YOUR SELF .The fit and finish is magnificent too. ;)

AK 47. I'm not much of a hunter so the lack of accuracy beyond 150-200m doesn't really bother me. I like my guns to go bang every time, regardless of dirt, temp, rain, ect... The availibility of cheap ammo doesn't hurt either.

All right, I'll play.

Make mine a .375 H&H, built on a true magnum Mauser action like CZ does. Bunnies to bears to buffalo, depending on load.
