Smith & Wesson K-22 Masterpiece. I had a fellowship and a job which gave me some extra $$, so I indulged myself. Wonderfully accurate with great trigger. I constructed an indoor range in the living room (a former hayloft for a "coach house" behind a mansion on the South Side of Chicago) and my room-mates and I released study stress with target practice at a safe backstop. (This was a LONG time ago!) I stupidly sold the K-22 for funds to get married (two BIG mistakes). I have never been able to replace it.
1969 and 10 years old my dad gave me a very used J C Higgins 22 revolver. He had found it under the seat of a used car he bought at a car lot. Some of my best memories are shooting bottles and cans with my dad. Seems he could always outshoot me even with my own gun. I still have that old pistol .....and I sure do miss my dad.....
Llama Comanchee .357 Mag. It was a real junker but I loved it because I didn't know any better. A few years later, I sold it and began "up-grading" my handgun collection.
My first handgun was a Taurus 357. It was a good looking gun. But I think a billy club would have been a better weapon. Bang, click, bang, click, click, bang.
Traded it in for a Ruger GP100. That thing was a super reliable workhorse.
Ruger Mark I, 5.5" bull barrel target model. Have no idea what happened to it. Many more over the years, 1911, DW 41 Mag rev, TC Contender, S&W 9mm, and many more. Now I have a Ruger Mark III, 5.5" target model and a Ruger Charger.
