Sig calls the 239 "compact" but it's nothing of the sort. Despite that it, it's still comfortable to carry with a good belt and holster. The S&W is pretty much getting all the carry duty lately but that may change now that winter is coming.

Now it is a full size 1911, . . . since I don't consider the Commander size to be really "compact", . . . I guess if/when I go to it, . . . I'll still be full size.

One of these days I'm going to seriously look into an AR pistol, . . .

May God bless,
Dwight

This should be a multiple choice/multiple answer poll instead of single option only.

Some of us carry different pistols depending on dress/situation. But I chose the most common pistol I carry, which is a pocket gun. On other times I carry a Fullsize 40, but usually in winter time or when the occasion allows.

I don't own a compact, unless the sp101 is considered compact. Both semi autos I carry are full size, the sp101 goes on occasion.

I picked pocket because that's 95 percent of my carry, given that it's over 100 degrees every day in Texas and all I wear is shorts ... but when it does cool off (Jan. 16 is the designated cold day this year, I think), I carry the same gun, a PM9, or my Kimber UCII, in a paddle holster, concealed by whatever I'm wearing to fend off the icy cold ...

I can't vote because depending on the day, my dress, and the time of year one might find me carrying anything from a S&W J-Frame in my pocket to a S&W N-Frame on my belt.

Two full size SS pistols, the 4506 and the 5906, a compact in a thigh holster, walther P22, and one of those silly two shot derringers in an ankle holster.

I feel like I'm carrying an anchor in my pants but got dammit if I'm not ready for a small war!!!

The way I see it is this: if I expend all 9 rounds from my 4506, all 17 rounds from my 5906, the ten rounds from my p22, those two shots from the derringer, all of my extra mags, AND THEN proceed to throw all my guns at my enemy and still need more rounds then I am either a horrible shot or am just so outnumbered that I never had a chance in hell to begin with.

I don't really like subcompacts, compact and full size for me.

I tried the smaller guns... just don't fit in my big paws very well...
So, I put the 3 Commanders and the Concept 7 in the carry rotation and everything seems to work out great!
They all fit in the Sparks... and I don't need to change up the 2 mag carrier.
And sometimes, when I carry openly, I'll put one of the full size 'Governments' in a slide and go bold! :D

Depends on the day, I clicked on full sized because I happen to have a G21 on right now, tomorrow it will probally be a PF-9

Put me in for "all" button. For work, I carry a Beretta 96D but I have carried the following: (in order)-S&W 5906; Glock 17, 19, 23; H&K USP stainless; Beretta Cougar 8040; Beretta 96D; H&K P2000. I have a Glock 23 4th gen on order so it will be my next carry as soon as it comes in. While not earning my keep, I carry the P2000 in a Fobus pancake OTW holster and an Accu-Tek AT380 in my pocket. I used to carry a Charter Arms .38 in a small leather belt holster and in an ankle holster. I used to carry a Browning BDA 380 in a shoulder holster. I've had a very heavy Star 9 mm I used to carry in my pocket but it made holes in them.....not from bullets but from its excessive weight and sharp edges.
