What rifle would you grab first?

Have you silly people ever heard of intercontinental ballistic missiles? There is a better chance of an extraterrestrial invasion from the planet Zoltar than any Red army setting foot on U.S. soil.

Anyhow, the commies are already here. Not in person, but in ideology. Just talk to any young urban american about politics. We do live in a communist country. Freedom is just marketing propaganda to sell more consumer goods. This is AmeriKa, there is no freedom!

the M1 and M2 Carbines did ok in Korea, it's all about where you hit the guy, if you hit him in the leg with a .30-carbine it's not goin to stop him like a .30-06 or .308 mit but if you hit him in the head or the neck he is "dead"

I'd be hard pressed to decide between my Norinco NHM91 and my Bushmaster AR...in all practicality the AK would be a better choice. But I LOVE my AR! I would probably end up bringing the AR

I'd pick a phased plasma rifle in the 40 watt range. It's a fantasy sure...but then, so is the idea of the Chinese invading us.

My SKS.

Why? Because the report is going to cause confusion among the Chinese, and I should be able to get ammo with no problems what-so-ever.

Curses, 8200rpm! You've ruined our plans for total planetary domination! Now we all have to go back to Zoltar and explain this failure to our wives...

Sorry - couldn't resist.

Hmm - so even if "silly conceit," probably the .340 till ammo ran out then the FN FAL.

my sar-1 with kobra sight and a bag of mags. interchangability of ammo with the opposition is important as well as a weapon with identical noise signature. the last gun i'd grab is my armalite, i wouldn't want them to immediately be able to identify my gun whenever i fired it.

Thats Easy M1A or any AK/SKS in 7.62 X 39

Why?? Parts and ammo are easy to come by since the chinese seem to mainly carry knockoffs of all three. Let them supply the guns /ammo and parts. (the already did with a few million sks's imported before the ban).

But seriously NOT UNLESS THEY LEARN TO WALK ON WATER

I would probably grab my M1A1 and the web belt that has five spare magazine pouches attached. My wife says she would grab her .223 Ruger Min1 14 and the web belt with four spare magazine pouches attached.

I'd grab my .45-70 first. Might as well impress 'em, in the event the PRiCs mysteriously develop teleportation devices before a decent navy...I'd probably grab my Mossberg shotgun , too, in the event I had to hunt small game to live on.

If Chicoms ever show up here, armed and equipped, they're not tourists
anymore.

And tourists are about the only protected species in Switzerland. Go
figure. :)

Our hunting rifles for such species look like SIG 550s, 510s and some
other variations that invariably use comblock incompatible ammo.

Hey -- stranger things have happened!

But you'd be silly to stand & fight with anything less than a crew-served weapon.

A water cooled M1917 Browning would be quite suitable, but so would a Ma Deuce .50 or M240G with LOTS of spare barrels. Firing at the cyclic rate at human wave assaults will turn those barrels into limp noodles with the heat.

In the event of human wave assaults by ChiCom forces launched from the Panama ithsmus (sp?) across the Mex-Cal border, you won't catch the Bruegger household asleep at the switch! Mrs. B has been cross-trained as our household machinegunner and Bruegger Jr (3 yrs old) is our ammoman. He's pretty strong and can haul those ammo cans like you wouldn't believe.

Now I just have to convince the Armorer to let me sign out a MG!

Semper fi,

Bruegger out.

Spectre- i can hardly imagine what a 45-70 hot load pushing 450grains would do to some 80 pound Chi-com regular. Reminds me of the mind games we played in Vietnam, dropping those double XXL condoms around to demoralize them.

Grab

I would grab my old model 77 Ruger in 30-06 and resupply from the dead ones. I would want to keep the little bas***ds as far away as possible and the Ruger is my favorite rifle for loooong range shooting. To send a bullet as far as this rifle, sends them accuratly, I ussually need UPS>

After considering the state of their navy and merchant shipping, I would be more concerned with the aliens who provided transport or the gurus who taught them to walk on water. As far as long rifles-Remington 700 Police .300 Win Mag with Nightforce 5.5X22 scope and an associate armed with my Springfield M1A. Volunteers would receive the HK91, the AR15, the MkIV Enfield, the .308 Mauser, the Chinese SKS, Browning BAR .300 Win Mag, the Ruger Target 10/22, the Remington 870, the Mossberg 590, and the select fire Uzi. Other volunteers would receive AK-47's found lying around.
