What pistols do you love so much you even enjoy cleaning them?

All of them....and here's why. I love cleaning stuff....the house, car, motorcycle, boat, bike, land ect...

I'll clean a clean gun.

As I always say "A clean machine is a happy machine."

I love my Sig Sauer P938 Extreme and my Colt 1911Marine CQBP. I really like my other guns.

I don't really love cleaning any of them. I clean them because I love or really like them.

Every time I clean the 1944 RR 1911A1 that I inherited from my dad, it brings back all those great shooting memories we had together. Otherwise, cleaning my guns is just one of the things I have to do to maintain them.

AO 1911
Browning 1911-22
Norinco 213
BHP

I dunno, I guess I just like the way they come apart better for some reason.

My el-cheapo Charles Daly 1911.

Field stripping that thing is so easy, a Cavalryman could do it .....

My EMP? Not so much....

M1911

when cleaning the M1911A1 do you always remove the extractor & firing pin?

do you use a pipe cleaner to wipe out the small holes?

sometimes I save time by just spraying them out with WD40 to flush out the residue

Of course.

Leaving gunk and debris in the firing pin channel could be recipe for disaster.

WD40 dries to a sticky film ......... there are much better solvents to clean guns with.

I'm in the love to clean guns camp. Unless I'm on a trip, if it's been fired and I don't clean it I find it hard to go to sleep. After a day in the field I'll run a snake through and give it a wipe down regardless.

I was raised that way, and it was further hammered into me by my Uncle Sam.

Look...

I really like all of my handguns.

But I've never enjoyed cleaning any firearm.

That said, I clean every one I've fired after returning from the range.

None.
I agree.

My Glocks because I can disassemble them down to the bare frame in 30 seconds with just a punch. What other semi auto can you do that with?
My Walther PPQ M1 and my Steyr L9-A1 which is easier yet since the whole trigger group comes right out of the frame. Even my HK P-30 can, but you may need to use the weight of the gun in a downward force on a pin or two.

I will preface this by saying that I am one of the weirdos who actually enjoys owning, examining, cleaning, tinkering with, learning about, and admiring my guns more than I enjoy shooting them.

I can be a bit of a broken record with my love for the design, but my Beretta 92FS. The build quality/fit/finish is outstanding. Everything is slick and fits and feels very...ready to work.

Taking care of my guns is part of the hobby...

All of my 1911's...
All of my S&W revolvers...
All of my Sig Sauers....

Springfield Loaded 1911 .. easy to take down and seems to purr when it's clean and reassembled ... hate my Smith 22a takedown and rarely shoot it ... and I'm not a fan of taking down my Kimber UCII (stupid paperclip) tho I love shooting it.
