What "new" guns are you buying this year ???

I feel I have my bases covered, HD, EDC. hunting, etc. So I'm after a few that I'm really wanting just because. That would be a Sig P229 Elite Dark and a 9mm 1911, probably an EMP unless I can find a nice commander size, then a Dillan XL650.

I want my first 1911 ... either a Kimber Stainless Pro Carry or a Colt XSE LW Commander (still undecided but my gun fund is about 1/2 way there)

Ruger sr556, another Dan Wesson (in .357 this time) and start adding to the Remington 760 collection (already have the 06)

I may have to look into one of the FNS'... I love FNH as a manufacturer and can imagine that their first striker fired gun should be fun to have.

Other than that maybe some sort of compact cc piece.

Get the Colt!! I've owned a Kimber Pro Carry II and it was 100% reliable after I found JHPs that it liked. But Kimbers can be picky about HPs. I also had to redo the trigger on my Kimber to get a good 4lb trigger pull.

I just bought my first and only pistol for this year. It's also my first Colts. I got a Colts LW Commander XSE. It's very well made, fit and finish are great, and accurate out of the box. But the trigger on mine runs 6.5 to 8 lb pull and it's not consistent. So next week I'll be putting in a Cylinder and Slide Tactical II 4lb trigger kit and replacing the series 80 parts with Brownells Series 80 Trigger Pull Reduction Kit. So it should have a nice 4lb trigger pull after that. I redo all of my 1911s to make sure they have a 4lb trigger pull. I won't go any lighter than that for a carry gun.

I bought 500 rds of 185 grn JHPs at a gun show a couple of years ago and none of my 1911s would feed them reliably. The Colts ate them without a problem and they shot accurately also!!

Probably pick up a Delta Elite befroe the end of 2012. In '13 I'll get another revolver in 454 Casull. There is this grail gun I've been looking for. If I run into it, I'll pick that up too. Would like to get an AR-10 before the end of 2013.

I have pretty much bought my guns fr this year. Next year I am looking for a good 1911, think a sig,/Remington/as. Also, I will be looking for a mini14

Thanks for the info GF48 ... I've kinda been leaning in the direction of the Colt!!!

Within the next 12 months I plan to buy a Sig 1911 Target, Springfield 1911 Mil Spec in 38 Super, H&K USP 45 and Ruger Bisley Vaqueros in 357 and 45 LC.

I typically buy used so it is just a matter of finding the right deal. Although finding the Springfield 1911 Mil Spec in 38 Super might be a real chore. The only other manufacturers that make 1911 in 38 Super that I'm interested in are RIA and Colt (in the 1991 Series). I confess I haven't looked into the Colts much and have no idea what the real differences between a 1911 and a 1991 are.

I'm kinda interested in the Arsenal Strike One. Not sure if it'll be available by the end of the year though. At one time I was hearing September of this year but that didn't happen.

I am usually on the look out for used Colt's, and S&W revolvers, but if I could find a Colt XSE LW Commander, I would jump on it like a duck on a june bug!
All the lgs's around here say it's about a 18 month wait for one.
Have been thinking also about a new L frame 357.

I am looking for a light lever action carbine in .38 and .357 for having when I am working outside.

Got the .38/.357 combo in a Winchester 98.

Had to get some polishing done as it would not readily or reliable eject.

Other than that, the lever is alot of fun.

As for upcoming……I want to pick up a S&W M&P in 9mm-Dark Earth (as opposed the .40 I have it in now).

Nothing too fancy this year (I'm done unless Santa has some Unbelievable elves cranking low-cost gems)--I purchased a 9&45 handguns, a .22lr mousegun and a tactical 12g.

Now, if we are talking about "fiscal year" starting today I'm 0-0 so far ;)...
