I consider myself a "handgunner". Judging by the number of post in the various forums it seems that many here are as well.
I grew up shooting a lot of trap. Something I enjoyed. I was a hunter growing up. Something that is almost a right of passage in rural areas. However as soon as I could convince my dad to allow it I started doing all my hunting with a handgun. On our regualr trips to the various local gun shops while my dad was looking over the counter at the long guns I had my nose pressed firmly to the handgun case. Not unlike the kids with their noses pressed to the candy case in so many "B" westerns.
My primary love is for single actions and anything "cowboy". However I also have a great fondness for "N" frame Smiths and the classic 1911. I have rifles in my collection and a few shotguns but the handguns are what draws me.
Yes, I am a handgunner, pure and simple. What about you? What type of (gun) person are you?
