What is your favorite rifle ...

My sporterized Yugo M24/47 in 8mm Mauser( I can load 150's to 220's) and my Smith & Wesson Mtn Gun revolver in .41 Magnum( I can load plinkers or big bad bear stoppers!)
 
For me it is a Savage 10 in .308 and my blackhawk .45 colt/.45ACP conv.
The .308 will take out anything i need to take out and the blackhawk just feels great in my hand.
 
My favorite Rifle is my Remington 1903 A3. It just has a feel to it that I like. My favorite Pistol that I own is a little Taurus PT .22. I know its a cheap little Pistol, but its easy to conceal and I like the way it shoots and the all metal frame.

CZ452 .22 Long Rifle bolt action suppressed. Good Irons with a robust scope. Carrying a 1000+ rounds of ammo is trivial. I can hit zombies at long distance with an almost silent weapon, not to mention the hell I could play with small groups of human baddies if given the chance.....

Favorite rifles - rimfire, its an Anschutz 1827 Biathlon rifle.
Centerfire it's a .30-06 O/U by Rizzini.

Pistols - rimfire. High Standard Victor
Centerfire - Colt Gold Cup NM.

Apparently I missed (Thankfully so) all the BS and NONSENSE and the thread has been heavily modified so I'm gonna go with the "current" topic heading, "What's my favorite rifle and handgun?".

I'm so fickle, it's hard to choose. Currently, my .25-06 and my Model 38.

Or maybe it's my Revelation 205 and my Model 66.

Of course, there's that whole AR and 1911 thing.

Do I really have to choose? I guess it's my .30-06 and my Ruger SBH.
 
For rifles I guess it would be my Pre-64 Winchester in 30/06 with its new fangled Leuopold 7/8" 4X scope sight that I put on it in the early 90s. It has been around the digs longer than I care to remember and while worn, still shoots little groups and what ever else I point it at.

For pistols it would be hard to choose, but it would be one of my Smith & Wesson revolvers (Models 28, 65 or 58) from my LE days.

For machine guns? Well that would have to be my old M-60 from VN, but that's never going to happen!
 
Rifle or pistol, my favorite is what ever I'm shooting.

I take my M1 out, and swear its the only rifle I need. The next day I take out my M1903A3, same thing.

I take one of my Winchesters M70, here we go again, this is it,this is all the rifle I need....................until I take out another rifle.

Same with pistols and revovlers, which ever I'm shooting at the time is my favorite.

As I shoot it, I swear its the only one I need.
 
I'm old school,,,

I don't hunt anymore (never did very much anyways),,,
And I'm not preparing for a SHTF or Zombie Apocalypse,,,
So I tend to lean more towards the recreational rifles myself.

Right now my favorite rifle is my Henry Accubolt Single-Shot .22 rifle.

I go out with a bulk pack and leisurely toss 100 to 200 rounds downrange,,,
Shoot some paper, shoot some metal spinners, shoot some cans,,,
It's about having fun putting bullets where I want them to go.

Next week it might change to my H&R Sportster,,,
But this week it's the Henry.

As for the handgun,,,
That varies from week to week as well.

This week it's Lilith,,,
My little S&W Model 63.

What is my favorite rifle and Pistol; and why

My favorite rifle is 1 1923 model 94 30/30 that originally belonged to my great Grandfather. It's had a few holes drilled into the receiver to accommodate different scopes and sites so it has lost collector value but that doesn't matter to me because it won't ever be sold. I inherited it from my dad when he passed 29 years ago and whichever of my grandchildren gets it from me will keep it in the family or I'll come after them from the grave. It still fires reliably and I take a deer with it every year.
As for my favorite pistol; that's a 1914 Artillery Luger P08 given to me by my Step-dad... Same goes for the Luger as far as never getting sold.

My favorite rifle would either be a Savage 110 in .243 or Savage 24V in .30-30/20 gauge. My favorite hand gun would be a Ruger New Model Blackhawk in .357 mag.
 
My favorite rifle is my Ruger m77 MkII in .204. I like it because it's a tackdriver and even more because it's a cheap tack driver wearing a cheap, tackdriving scope and it makes the "you get what you pay for" types cringe. It also has zero recoil and minimal muzzle blast.

Not even $700 in the whole package including the bipod and it shoots 1/2 MOA or less at 100 all day long.
