What is your current Car/Truck Gun?

An old Glock 23 with a pair of high cap mags. The beauty of the Glock, aside from it's performance, is that I don't care if it gets skinned up. :)

Usually whatever it is I'm carrying...

You guys leave a gun in the car at all times? Are you that comfortable with that?

If you answer yes to that, then I guess I'll start leaving my G27 in the car...I would need more convincing though.

My just in case gun if I am going somewhere where I am not carrying for whatever purpose, I throw my Seacamp in a bag in the trunk. Sometimes I throw in a K-frame .38...

In the summer don't forget the heat in your car/trunk can get super high, which really heats up the rounds and can cause a pressure problem if your loads are already on the edge of sanity. Use caution!!!

I guess I should have asked where you guys live and where in your vehicle you store your gun.

I live in TX and was curious about summertime heat affecting my gun/ammo negatively.

I store in my Glove box usually but am wondering if maybe I should store in door compartment or under the seat.

hmmmm....?

I change vehicles about as often a I change pants. One day I drive this work truck, the next will be a different work truck, the next my personal truck, the next the Mini-Van and so on and so forth. If I just drove one vehicle every day I'd drop a short barreled, choke tubed 12ga in it or maybe one of my stainless 10/22's. Mostly for impromptu hunting. Figure if I feel I need to carry, I'm gonna carry and have no reason to keep a handgun in the vehicle 24/7.

I'm in Az. where it is over 100º everyday in the summer. I always leave a loaded gun in my truck & I have never had a problem with guns or ammo. It is very dry here. I don't know what effect humidity & high temperature might do.

I never leave a weapon in my vehicle as here in Albuquerque the gangbangers pop vehicles like crazy. They can get in a Dodge or GMC truck in 5 seconds or so, and I don't want to arm them anymore than they already have. I just make sure I carry all the time, in the vehicle or out.

I live in TX and do not leave any firearm in the car (except for a momentary visit into the Post Office or another place where I cannot legally carry..)

I avoid most "do not carry" places like the plague.

I live in Colorado, I really don't carry in my vehicle per se. I have CCW so I do pop it out of the holster and put it in my center con. while I am driving... more comfortable... I don't leave it in there though when I exit.

If I were to have a car gun, it would be my 2" Model 10, like Spacecoast has.

In reality, it's whatever gun(s) I'm carrying at the time ~ 442 and/or 642. I'm not against the idea of keeping my Model 10 in the car, but I like to play with it while I'm in the house, so in the house is where it lives.

blued Taurus 85, with speed loader ... it's my oldest gun, stone reliable and accurate at SD distances ... it sits in a locked container in the car in 100+ heat and there has never been a problem with heat or cold affecting how it works ... I run 20-30 rounds through it on every range trip so it has fresh ammo, and I keep it in a silicon "gunsock" ... no rust, no problems ...

Amt Backup .45

I almost hate to admit it. A AMT backup .45. I keep magsafe in the magazines. I have never had a problem with this weapon, and I consider it a last ditch close quarters weapon. It's also amazingly small. 5 rounds and unlike the oher reports I have read on the forums. No missfires or problems.
