What is this Hornady Zmax crap?

If people don't buy it, they stop making it.
Hornady can try whatever they feel like and the market will decide.

What I am curious about is the legal aspect.
Does anyone know if the specific brand of ammunition is recorded in an instance of self defense, or just the type?
It just seems like a lawyer could manipulate the situation into portraying a person as not taking seriously the responsibility of carrying a firearm.
I would cringe if I was in court and they started talking about zombies.

I'm with Mike

It's amusing but I don't think it's a good idea to be presenting the gun owning portion of the population in the foil hat zombie fearing light.

My $.02

I think its odd. But I think the obsession over AR's is odd too. Guess I don't get too worked up over it. Pass by it and think..."that's different and not for me" just like I do when I walk by the 8000 different AR accessories.

"Now Lava Lamps, those are hard to find."

I've got a lava lamp...

"the last one I saw was at Walgreens about a month ago for $5.00."

We are in end times...

STOP DEPENDING ON THE LANGUAGE FILTER TO CLEAN UP YOUR POSTS.

Actually I typed in those characters. I was simply stating that using a four letter word was uncalled for.

Back to the subject at hand.

"I may not agree with everything you say, but I will defend your right to say it with my life."

Of course it has it's limitations, especially if what you do affects our freedom.

I don't really understand the point of the ammunition myself, but I concede that I really see no harm in it. I also don't believe that anyone over the age of ten could perceive a zombie apocalypse as feasible. In that respect, I don't think it's very offensive, because any one that has access to it already knows that there will never be zombies. If I were the prez of Hornady would I sign off on this project? No. I agree that firearms are serious business and although I have a great sense of humor, I don't really understand what they were trying to accomplish other than $$$.

So why in the world would gunowners start using the term zombies? This is the modern day where all know that zombies do not exist. America has been arming itself to the teeth for some type of apocalyptic showdown...and gets on the web and starts talking SHTF and so forth and are admonished because of the political in-correctness of the terms shtf, jbt, and so forth...

So people adapted and began using silly codewords so they can talk. What caliber for JBTs? is a locked thread, but what caliber for Zombies? TFL plays along and lets it remain open.

Being polititically incorrect is somewhat fashionable now. Who can blame Hornady for cashing in on it, a hilarious by-product of Political Correctness, Zombie Ammo!

You know if we brought back just a little bit of common sense to this country and weren't scared of some POS ambulance chasing lawyer from suing a company for frivolous BS this ammo would be no big deal.

BTW for those that want to know the .308 168gr ZMAX is very accurate ammo, shot some 5 shot groups well under a inch with it....:)

A good closing statement...
