Gentlemen,
I have always been a revolver person, and at 61 am not likely to change.
I have owned way too many handguns to begin with, but with both my sons (Marines) getting married this year I had to cut down considerably.
My one sole auto is a Beretta Jetfire .25 auto; love it, has NEVER failed me.
I have 4 .38 Special revolvers.
My duty gun from the Cleveland Police Department - model 10 HB.
A 2" round butt model 10.
A model 60 from 1974, likely fired no more than maybe 250-300 rounds.
A WWII Colt Commando .38 Special (an Official Police that is parkerized.)
I am very happy with these handguns. I was also issued both a S&W 5903 and a 6906 while with Cleveland, and, for the record, they never failed me, either. I was in SWAT Unit (full-time) for 5 years and we shot our pistols, first-responder weapons (M1 carbines) and I had to turn in 2 targets per week zeroing my counter-sniper rifle (Remington 700P in .308.)
Loved them all - miss the job.
Semper fi,
Dave Swaffield
