What is the largest caliber you would carry?

i have a sig p245. it is a smaller frame 45 acp but it shoots very good. no problem with recoil or speedy second third forth shots. i can fire off the 6 in the mag plus the one in the chamber just as quick as a full size 9mm and in the same size group. if someone is looking for a 45acp carry gun i highly recomend it with a back up mag in the back pocket.

To be civil, . . . and not hijack the thread, . . . my normal is also my largest carry, . . . 1911 in .45 ACP.

But I gotta admit, . . . since the wife got me my M1A for Christmas, . . . I have exercised my imagination trying to figure out how to camoflage it well enough to make it acceptable to the Dotor's office and Wally World :D

May God bless,
Dwight

I only carry a .380 concealed now in my pocket. I have no desire to IWB or OWB carry and this is as large as I can get without printing in my pocket. My trail gun is open carry .41 Mag. Different threats, different solutions I guess.

I regularly carry 45ACP and 357. As others have stated, I don't see the cailber as the issue, rather the gun itself. If its comfortable to carry and managable to shoot, I'd consider carrying it.

"I agree with JohnH1963 about the .38 Special and the 9mm for carry."

I do, too. My Beretta 92F is a little too large for CCW, but there are smaller 9mms. The good old S&W "Chief's Special", M36 or M60, with .38Spl+P seems just about right. Heck, when I'm just sitting around the house, I've always got a NAA .22LR mini-revolver loaded with Velocitors in my pocket. I really like it, and I'd count on it if I had to. To each his/her own. :)

Largest revolver I conceal carry is S&W model 19 2.5".

Largest auto I conceal carry is Browning Hi-Power.

The problem is not how large the weapon is, but figuring out how to make it go unnoticed.

large caliber

My dream CCW would be a .45 Combat Commander. 9mm Combat Commander would work for me also. .45 is the largest caliber I would carry concealed.
