What is the ideal weapon for vehicle in your opinion?

My snub 357 is easiest to carry and hide in the car, easy to slip IWB when exiting...can't see how you could efficiently deploy a long gun for defense from inside the vehicle.

Depends on the vehicle. If it's a civilian automobile, just about any light MG of .30 cal should suffice......

I would vote for short barrel shotgun hands down ( steve mcqueen style ), except for issues of how to strap it on during driving. Otherwise if you were in a wreck then gun would go flying, ie, like all the guns did in famous Miami FBI 1986 shootout. Since handgun is only one that can be comfortably holstered then it is winner by default IMHO

semi-auto pistol - preferably the same gun that you also carry. It's not going to do you much good sitting in your glove box if you can't take it out and carry it when needed.
