What is the best 9mm pistol

my experience with the 9BP has been the same out of my P7M8.

as for the SIG P210s safety, u do have to have a rather long thumb (which i have) to use it easily. P210 is still MY top choice.

sure would like to try a Walther P88 Competition, sounds like a sweet gun! does it have a frame mounted decocker or slide mounted safety (like the P88C)?

i still have to evaluate the SIG/SAUER P220A 9mm i bought but haven't brought home yet. my S&W 940 is a nice compact hideout gun, but it's a little heavy and it kicks! also have a Taurus PT99AFSD that my g/f loves (it's "her gun"...hehe) and shoots great for her.

A small nit. You don't have to modify the BHP to make it serviceable, you modify it to make it better. I agree that the stupid magazine disconnect/"safety" is a dumb thing to put on a defense pistol - can't fire the chambered round w/o mag in - & it does yuck up the trigger. First thing to go on mine.

I actually heard from a dealer that HK did stop importing the P7 (not true of course)- but now that Colt is buying HK, I feel like I should keep it NIB- but I'm sure I won't. I'm going to keep note of the ammo you suggested-I'll find out more after New Years on the availability of the gun (dealer is calling around). What are your plans for the new M8 your getting?

Hi JG: I plan to run about 300 rounds through my M8 and then have it hard chromed by Metaloy in Berryville, AR. I know how you feel about keeping it NIB. I just find them too much fun to shoot. Have a great New Year.
