What gun do you yearn for?

A S&W Centennial Airweight (pre-model 42) in nickle.

I would gladly give my ex-wife's kidneys for one.

Well on a serious note probably a custom 1911.

a custom 1911 ... I have a few off-the-shelf models and they are fine ... but I'd love to have something that a single craftsman created ...

A nice Government or Commander-size 1911 with a matte or semi-gloss black frame, and a stainless or satin silver finished slide. Also with a skeletonized trigger (not the kind with 3 round holes or 3 triangular holes, the kind with more rectangular holes), a skeletonized 'loop' hammer, beavertail safety, ambidextrous safety, magazine release, and slide stop lever all matched in finish to the stainless/silver slide. Grips in a light-colored wood (andean alder or amboyna burl, perhaps).

Basically, something that looks like the Kimber CDP series:

With grips like either of these from Esmeralda:

Ruger Super Blackhawk with a 12.5in Barrel with a 5 round cylinder in .480 Ruger
Ruger Bisley with 10.5in Barrel in .480 Ruger.

Yes i know this thread is over 1yr old, and no these two guns do not exist.:D

it would be antique.

A fine old single shot.
A fine old double rifle.
a fine old SXS shotgun.

God, I love the beautiful old guns.

It has been over a year since I posted in this thread but I'd still love to have a Colt .38 Super, blued. I even bought another handgun in that time but it wasn't a .38 Super, though it only cost half as much.

Now, if I were practical and realistic, which I'm not, I'd rather have a Colt lightweight Commander. At this point I'd settle for any caliber--I've got a supply of Colt magazines in all calibers.
