What gun do you yearn for?

Lever gun chambered in the new .327 Federal Magnum, barrel length between 16-20". Would make for a great small game rifle (though I don't really hunt) and one hell of a fun shooter. The ammo would match my revolver, to boot!

Also,
Commander or Officer sized 1911 in 10mm. The only one's I've seen are out of my price range at the moment. Maybe I can talk myself into no buying this that and the other thing and save up for one...
I'm a big fan of the LDA trigger on my PARA 1911, so would like to have that on there as well. What can I say, after moving to revolver, I've grown to liking trigger movement, even if it means a long-reset. Just keep it smooth and steady...

A .454 Casull

I have wanted a Casull for 35 years.
And there are bigger ones out there today.
Got mine yesterday :) Got to the gun show 1 hour before close!
Its a Freedom Arms Modle 83 with a 2.5 - 8 Leupold and a .45 Colt cylinder.
I mauled it all evening while reading the manual and online reviews about it and shot it this morning with the Colt cylinder.
In my excitment to get to my range I forgot the rests and had to use a hunting shack couch cushion and a wood block. It didn't work very well, as I shot better with a weaver stance than the makeshift rest.
But I did get to shoot up some factory fodder.
Ordered .454 brass from Starline last night and looking forward to the UPS truck:)

an FN FAL to call my very own. I'd settle for a DSA though with the medium contoured barrel, so I can turn that into a "sniper" rifle so to speak. put some tacticool rails on it. put an adjustable tacticool rear stock on it. put a PSG type hand grip on it. give it a sling. and one bad ass scope.

it would be awesome, and mine!

Congrats to Gbro, he got the one I want. Freedom Arms 454 with the 45LC cylinder. I'd like a 7 1/2 bbl and no scope. The spirit is willing but the bank account is weak. :p

I want a 1911. Don't know which make/model yet, but I do know I'm in no hurry. I have pretty much everything I want and getting the last few things on the list would probably leave me feeling let-down. There's much to be said for anticipation.

Just one?

A Czech CZ-52 service pistol.

A Colt 1911.

An AR-10 variant, flat top with long range optics, minimal weight and sub-MOA performance.

A Taurus Judge ultralite, preferably blued with the 3" chamber.

I have a deep and burning desire for an XDm in 10mm.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of evidence that we'll never see that gun produced. I'm going to buy an XDm end of this year or early next and will probably be going with the 3.8 model in .40 cal.

Unfortunately, even with +P ammo, it's not a true 10mm.

I would love to own a double-rifle,,,

It wouldn't even have to be a fancy one that uses exotic cartridges,,,
I would be tickled pink with a nice 45-70 of plain visage,,,
Something I could afford to shoot once in awhile.

I grew up watching the African adventure movies,,,
I dreamed of standing steady and dropping that charging rhino,,,
As a child I thought only needing one shot with one back-up bullet was heroic.

Of course I would have to research all the old Stewart Granger movies,,,
'Cause if you own one of those wonderful "twice barreled carbines",,,
You need to dress the part as well when you go to the range. ;)

Where does one buy jodhpurs in this day and age?

An M1 Carbine fitted with the thermal optic sight. It is a very curious and specialized rifle, made for sniping Japanese soldiers in the jungle through the night.

If you like the Freedom Arms Model 83, but have problems coming up with $1300 for a used one or $1800 for a new one, you might want to check out the BFR from Magnum Research. I also yearned for the FA but couldn't afford one. I have bought 2 of the BFRs though, one in .454 Casull and one in .480 Ruger. It's the same concept as the big Freedom Arms. Ultra-stout 5 shot cylinders, extremely precise machining, and exceptional accuracy. I haven't seen a side-by-side comparison written, but I've been more than happy with the BFRs. The new list price is around $1000, but I bought both of my used revolvers for $600-650. One of them appeared to be unfired. The other one couldn't have had more than 50-100 rounds through it. No turn ring or any other kind of handling marks. They are really nice shooters and I don't think there is any way to blow them up.

COLT 1911 MIKV Series 70 in best possible condition. The finish on that firearm is unbelievable. M1A Socom - Perfect Size and Firepower. Thompson 1928A1 or M1A1 or both. 1919 B.A.R. M2 Maduse .50BMG machine gun, Barrett M82A1 50BMG.........I have to stop this list is infinite. :D
