Can;t help but see ole gwb on the news every day talking about "winning the war" protecting our borders:mad: and now they are fabricating favorable news and paying reporters to publish it. IS this not the same bunch that was gonna bring honesty, respect and integrity to the white house? WAs it not this same group who just a couple of years ago cut the border patrol budget:confused: and fired many of the patrolmen which precipated the vigilanti border patrols?:D

It's no surprise they'd buy propaganda in Iraq. They've been doing it right here for so long it's second nature.

This is not an embarassment to the administration, although it is an attempt by the MSM to portray it as an embarassment for public consumption.

The US government has been paying to distribute an American-friendly view of the news for years - or maybe you aren't familiar with Radio Free Europe and its siblings.

What would be an "embarassment" is if they weren't doing it from the start. A big part of this war is propaganda, and on that front we've been losing.

Look how often the MSM parrots the George Soros/Moveon.org party line, you think it's not happening here? If you believe it's not, I got a bridge to sell you.

Absolutely no comparison to Radio Free Europe spredding the word of freedom and paying an Iraqie journalist to print lies to cover stupidity. You really gotta be out of it to think this is not an embarassment to this country in every country in the world, including our "allies".

"You really gotta be out of it"

Insults, insults, get yer cheap insults here. Support the President and get a free insult. Lots to go around.

Yawn.

Nothing to see here, move on. ;)

Let me see if I have this right. It's wrong to pay to have a factual story published, but it's ok to put Ted Kennedy, John Kerry and Hillary Clinton on the TV and in the newspapers to lie for free. If they had to pay for the coverage maybe they would get their facts straight first:eek:

freedom fighter - insurgent
spreading the word of freedom - paying to print lies
Eastasia - Eurasia

It's all a matter of opinion... and mostly fantasy. :D

I support the president and think he's doing ok. I much prefer him than any current democrat. If you think you can do better, feel free to let them know.

I can just image the whinning we will be hearing in about 3 years when HRC becomes Commander in Chief.

It could always be worse...

What Embarassment From This Administration Is Next????
Hey, ya gotta give "W" credit - he hasn't been doing some trailer park skank on the clock and then comitting perjury and suborning perjury to cover it up:D :D

mIKE40-11, DID YOU NOT READ THE PAPER THIS MORNING? Front page article saying that US military officials had been writting untrue favorable articles and then paying Iraqie journalist to publish them in the local papers. :barf:
hey progarammer 1957, its one thing to "do a trailer park shank" (anyhow-just look at his options(HRC) and you might do the same)and then lie about it and something else to lie about it and have thousands die as the result.

From the letters section of the January issue of Car and Driver:

I am a captain in the Army and was in Iraq last year. In "War Wagons," Garrett states, "Since a soldier confronted Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld ... about the lack of properly armored Humvees here..."

Actually, the soldier asked why he had to go through scrap metal and find glass to mount on his unit's HMMWVs. What the world wasn't told was that this soldier's particular unit was waiting on its last three to five vehicles to come out of the shop that very day for a retrofit up-armor kit. The other 97 percent of his vehicles were in fact up-armoed. I hate it when this naive young soldier, who was prodded by a dishonest media to ask his question, is referenced in stories.

The truth is out there if you want to look hard enough.

Come on silver bullet, you know thats a bunch of bull.:( Facts are that metal was being salvaged from bombed machinery and vehicles for several weeks prior and many of the vehicles did not get armour for weeks after the "questioning" incident as well as there was a lack of bp vest at the time also. Furthe more, even Rumsfeld admitted :barf: the short commings with his famous "this ant no pick nick we (meaning the foot soldiers) fight with what we have.":D

Considering that the HMMWV was never intended nor designed as an armored vehicle, I think the administration did a great job in getting them retro-fitted with armor as fast as they did.
