What do you take with you when you carry?

Typical "going out" stuff on belt / in pockets -

Commander length 1911 in a quickslide holster
Surefire 6P flashlight in a leather loop
Spyderco "Caly 3" knife (used for lunch, opening boxes)
Zippo lighter (used to thaw padlocks)
wallet
car keys
cell phone

keys, wallet, large folder, small folder, multi tool, cell phone, and a handgun of some type, maybe a reload. or two. Badge and LEO creds. Maybe a pair of cuffs and a maglight. Like the Boy Scout motto said: "Be prepared." Rifle and .357 mag in truck close by with a tool box full of other Boy Scout type stuff: Rope, first aid kit, water, etc etc. If u cant carry it have it close by!

I'm a real beleiver in having stuff if u need it!!

A revolver in a holster, which one, mostly depends on my mood. A couple of speed strips in a old cell phone holder. Cell phone. Swiss Army knife, keyring, comb (more out of habit than need these days), wallet. If I carry a flashlight, it's a AA min-mag. Maybe a little change, but these days I seldom if ever carry cash.

My EDC, a PM9 in right front pocket ... reload in left front pocket ... wallet in right rear pocket ... keys in a cargo pocket ... 3-inch folder clipped to left front pocket ... cellphone clipped to belt on left side ... incidently, for those of you who can't figure out where to put a full-sized flashlight along with all this other stuff, I have a suggestion ... I have a tiny Proton LED flashlight on my keychain ... it produces a ton of light for its size, and while it won't dazzle a BG unless you're in his face, it's plenty of light to see in the dark or change a tire ... cheap and stone reliable, the one I have is even programmed to flash SOS in Morse code in case I'm lost at sea ... :D

when i carry, 1911 in the iwb holster, a spare magazine and a small s&w flashlight. wallet, keys and cell phone are always on me

My EDC consist of the following;
1) Rossi 462 in a Don Hume OWB
2) 2 speed strips in an Accumold pouch (actually a glove pouch but it holds 2 speed strips like it was made for them)
3) Kershaw o-so-sweet assisted open
4) cell phone
5) NcStar flashlight
6) Sheffield multi-tool
and of course, keys and wallet.

When I'm heading to town I count five items before I go out the door.
1. small bi-fold wallet in front right pocket
2. money in left front pocket
3. Glock 26 somewhere depending on season
4. reading glasses
5. cell phone
The bandana in rear pocket and Gerber folder are always there no matter what.

1.S/A XD40 Subcompact in JMG IWB 3.2 holster.

4. Blackberry

5. Wallet

6. Keys

When I go out, its a Glock g26 in an owb holster, usually an extra G19 mag, a Kershaw Tanto knife, can't remember the actual name, Wallet, and Blackberry Torch. I have flaslights in the car, bedroom, and a few other places but don't usually carry one. I occasionally carry a Smith and wesson LFrame, in which caes I have at least one speedloader of 357 hollowpoints with me too. I'd carry that gunmore often but since its my favorite gun I would hate to lose it if I have to use it. The g26 is easy to replace, I'm most proficient with it, And I can reload it much faster, plus its crazy accurate and very light. I have a little LCP that I planned on carrying, but I don't feel very confident that I could defend myself with that thing as well as my other options. Of course, once in a while, I pack a full sized Springfield 1911, just because!

My Everyday Carry:

1. Glock 26 (lasermax guide rod laser)with 2 12- round mags, carried IWB
2. Ruger LCR .38 w/ CTC grip, plus 2 Tuff QuickStrips, gun is in a Galco Anklelite.
3. Fisher Space pen and a notepad
4. My iPhone (Otterbox)
5. Wallet- CCDW permit and Driver's License plus other stuff
6. Keys
7. S&W SOG knife, plus Winchester pocket knife
8. Mini Maglite LED

Somedays I switch it up to an M&P9C with 2 mags and S&W 642+the 2 QuickStrips if I'm feeling "brand-loyal". I have a laser on all of my carry guns.

I see a lot of people carrying flashlights...when u upgrade your cell phone check out the Androids. They come with LED's. iPhones do too!

How about a big, stout soup spoon, in case you drop everything else and need to whack someone over the head or maybe dig a trench for a booby trap? Ok Tactical Spoon if you paint it black. :o

I always bring a fit mind, a very important tool for awareness and reasoning. And a fit body, a great tool for many things.
