What do you take with you when you carry?

1) Browning Hi Power with spare mag.
2) Beretta 950b
3) Large scary folder
4) Smaller, less scary but also very sharp folder
5) Small MagLite. I feel the shape and reliability makes it worth having with me. It can double as a weapon.

Everything is concealed and i am comfortable carrying it. I carry a smaller knife in case i need one for actually cutting something, that way i dont have to use my unusually large, sharp and scary self defence folder in public and send people running in all directions and soiling themselves... Again.

I know that I won't have time to reload magazines in the middle of an attack, and mostly, the extent of reloading is putting a loaded magazine in the pistol. But I've always liked carrying the plastic ammo wallet in my left pocket.

I don't carry because I live in Illinois, but there have been times when I've been elsewhere that I have carried, and in addition to a spare mag, I've usually brought one of these ammo wallets along as well.

Currently it is a 1911 lightweight commander or a browning high power in side wast band holster at five o'clock, cell phone on wast band between two and three o'clock, at about seven, a pair of spare mags. in side wast band carrier, in front of that a three watt led Brinkmann flash light on wast band carrier, and finally in front of that a small sheath knife (four inch blade). Keys wallet ID ect. in pockets of vest and pants. Magnum Will is correct my pants are heavy but have been doing this for so long it feels wrong to leave anything off.

1. XD9 sub-compact either iwb or in a light duty owb holster, depending on the day

2. Carry permit & DL, in a small leather bi-fold

3. Cell phone

4. Victorinox Swiss Army knife (for utility, not self-defense ;) )

Occasionally, I'll clip another folder inside my pocket and carry a small canister of Mace Pepper Gel.

PM9 @ 4:00
Cell phone @ 3:00
Small pepper spray @ 8:00
Swiss army knife in pocket
CCW & DL with credit cards in folder in shirt pocket
2 keys-truck & house in other pocket

pistol in holster at 3:30 o'clock
wallet (carries standard stuff plus handi-wipe & spare key)
spare mag (not always)
spitfire pepper spray clipped to belt
folding knife clipped in pocket (spyderco or benchmade)
fenix ld10 flashlight on keychain
android phone (a good utility on it makes it a backup flashlight)

Occasionally, a Kimber Pepper Blaster II
Less frequently, a second handgun

Other than the pistol, I carry:
- Keys
- phone
- wallet (ID, CHL, etc)

still looking for a good pocket knife, so that will be added to the list soon.

still looking for a good pocket knife

I'd had some bad experiences with Spydercos in the past, but I recently got one that has been great. Amazon has some great deals from time to time.

I usually carry:
Taurus TCP
Keys with AAA Maglite keychain
HK Vex folding knife
Wallet
Cell phone
iPod Touch
Hankey
Pen

I live a pretty low key suburban lifestyle so I really don't see the need for me to carry spare mags or a BUG. I have a bunch of different folders that I would change up, but since I got this HK made by Benchmade it is the only one I carry. I go old school and carry a hankey in case I have to do some dirty work in my office clothes. It is great to wipe my sweat or dirt off. I have never been one to put a snot filled rag back in my pocket (ewww). I bought most of my knives at Big 5 when they run their almost weekly sales on knives. I stick to brands like Kershaw, CRKT, Ka Bar, Gerber and Smith & Wesson. I don't feel the need to spend over $30 on any single knife.

Two sets of keys for the vehicle I’m driving.
House keys.
Wallet.
DL and CHL in separate holder.
Some change, to avoid getting even more.
Pen knife.
Lighter and cigarettes.
Reading glasses.
Pen and pocket pad.
Cell phone.
and
a gun.

GL!!!! All that? No wonder I’m going lame.

When I go out I have the following:
Keys with:
Small Gerber folder
Arc AAA-P flashlight
Inka Titanium Pen
Sig P238 in pocket holster
Extra 6 round mag
Wallet
About 50% of the time my belt has:
Leatherman Surge
4Sevens Quark AA^2

For those of you looking for a flashlight to keep with you, it's hard to beat the Arc: http://www.arcflashlight.com/ It's available in aluminum with a Type III anodized finish, or titanium. It runs on a single AAA and is noticeably smaller than other offerings from competitors like Fenix. It uses a single LED at about 10 lumens, and runs for many hours before it exhausts a single alkaline AAA. The listed runtime is 5 hours to 50% brightness, which is about when you'll start noticing the output diminishing (eyes work logarithmically). It will be a smidgen brighter on the expensive lithium AAAs because their nominal voltage is 1.7v rather than 1.5v of alkalines, and last longer because lithiums have a flatter discharge curve.

Also, anyone who appreciates Fenix flashlights, take a look at 4Sevens.com They provide similar lights, but I prefer them because of the little details, like full knurling.

XD9sc in a holster (too many too list and it depends on the day)
When I don't have the XD I have the P3AT
Spiderco knife (clipped to the inside of my off-hand pocket).
Gerber Curve on the keychain - it aint much but it's a backup blade/tool
Cellphone

Extra mags are in the vehicle safe unless I carry a 1911, then I carry two extra mags on my belt, off-hand side.

When I carry I have on my person:

Wallet with CHL
Glock 26 in Galco Kingtuk
Extra Magazine
SAK
