What do we nickname ultra-sub compacts?

Revolver guys have a good nickname for the most compact revolvers, they're called snubbies.

When someone says "snubbie", you have a pretty good idea of what that pistol looks like.

We don't have anything similar for the super-small semi-autos like the DB9, Rohrbaugh, Boberg, Kahr PM9 or other small semi-autos out there.

The term "pocket pistol" doesn't really fit because that includes a lot of snub-nosed revolvers which are pocket pistols.

The term "Mouse Gun" doesn't really fit because that includes the smaller calibers like .32 and down to the .22

Itty-Bitty-Pocket-Poppers can be abbreviated

IBPP

If you are carrying more than one it would be IBPPs... It also indicate that it's not a revolver.

I thought about Itty-Bitty- Auto-Pocket-Poppers

It just seems headed in a bad direction...:(

Pocket pistol includes anything that fits in a normal front pocket - and that includes revolvers.

When someone says "snubbie" you know that they are not talking semi-auto. I don't think there is an equivilant for the ultra sub compacts.

Mouse guns include all small pistols, including the tiny .22 revolvers, .32 calibers and so on...

They could be called hideout guns - but that term also includes Derringers.

I think pocket pistol is fine.

Generally, revolvers are not referred to as "pistols". For many years it was considered "wrong" to call a revolver a pistol and vice versa.

Not that it matters as it is all a matter of usage. But I think pocket pistol works.

Mousegune is generall used as a pejortive.
