100 rds of horandy 223 55gr for 70.00 not great price but not unbearable, 400rds of 762x25 for my yugo, and lucked out at a little country store gas station and got 2 bulk packs of federal 22lr for 21.35 each. they still had 13 boxes left and will go again on friday when im driving back home for the week and see if there is any left. she said i could by them all but figured i would give others a chance at them.
Stopped buy the local farm supply store, looking to see if they had restocked up any reloading supplies, (no). They had a stack of American Eagle .45 Auto, maybe 100 boxes or so. Bought a couple of boxes, leaving some for others. $27 for a box of 50, "shrug."
Ckd the WM this morning .. .. fresh 10 box stack of WWB 45 acp 100 rd packs... Some WWB 40 100 rd packs, Some tula 9mm, and some WWB 9mm 50 rd boxes.
I left with 3 of the 45 boxes. will stop on way by there tomorrow morning and pick up 3 more if they are still there.
Price had went up from $38 to $40 from 2 weeks ago.
Stopped @ WM yesterday and finally found some Ammo for that Ruger American I bought about 6 wks ago. They had about 20 boxes of .308 Federal Fusion. I bought 4 @ 24.97 ea.
They also had 30-30, 7mm and 5.56 in various brands, but I don't have anything that uses those. They did have a Marlin 30-30 for a good price, but it was gone along with the ammo when I stopped in this am. I would like a lever, but I'm not sure I want a 30-30.
As of walsmart wasn't bad enough before this mess. Imma try and hit Academy early tomorrow. See what I find or don't. I'm not really needing to buy much so may just grab some shotgun shells. They've got plenty of those.
I guess I'm kind of lucky. I live in California, but the people here don't seem too interested in buying up all of the ammo or anything. There is a 6 box limit on ammo at the LGS, but they always have it in stock. They also have about a dozen AR types on hand at all times. The prices have only gone up slightly. Anyways, I bought 6 boxes of WWB in .40.
Walked into a LGS this morning just as it opened and I've never seen anything like it. Somehow the word got out that 50 Smith & Wesson Ar15's had arrived. There was a line out the door and people had to take tickets like the deli counter at a supermarket. I'm pretty sure those AR's were gone before the people at the end of the line even made it through the door. Ammunition was selling just as quickly.
I'm glad I know of other places to get what I want with MUCH less hassle.
Academy this morning had: 40/45/556 and I heard 9mm if you got there early enough. Apparently people are still lining up before they open. Ain't nobody got time for that!
I was out by Academy and they had Federal 5.56, so, I bought a box. I wouldn't have driven there for the one box but bought it since I was already there.
Just a report. Went to Academy Sports today. Nothing for pistols. The did have some 30-06 and other larger rifle rounds. No 307 or 223.
They did have 12 gauge for birds and clays.
