Weather affect which gun you carry? (CCW)

Not for me--year round I CCW a KT P11 with a Bobcat 21A or PT22 BUG. I honestly forget they are with me from a comfort point-of-view :). I would like to conceal one of my .45's but it would only work (for me) in the winter season (which after this awful summer I can't wait for ;)!).

I usually wear button ups anyways. And you'll always see me in jeans. So carrying full size has never been and issue for my attire or body type. 6'2 175lbs (I train hard) lol.

But for some reason when it rains I strap on a poly gun instead of one of my steel guns.

Cant wait for our "winter" here in Miami either. Mediocre but should be something at least. Maybe then I can carry OWB. Much more comfortable than IWB lately -__-

Weather rarely has any affect on what I chose to carry now days. It did have influence me getting a couple of smaller guns though. Texas summers are brutaly hot. I always carry a P-64 in my pocket. Most times I will carry a sub compact semi auto IWB. Though no matter what the pocket gun goes with me.

M&P 40c in my Supertuck, 3:00 carry, spare mag 9:00; Kershaw Leek in weak side pocket. Rain or shine. Hot or cold. No change in my EDC due to weather, but then I don't change my dress much, either. I'm a jeans and t-shirt kinda guy for the most part.

Yes it does. If it's hot and most of the time it is down here, I wear shorts and t-shirt, I carry smaller/lighter. Colder weather brings out jeans/pants and light jacket so different pistol.

I practice with both at the range. Matter of fact I'm going today. :D

Warm/Hot weather = Kahr CW9
Cool/ Cold weather = Bersa Thunder 9UC Pro 95% of the time. Other 5% is either a Stoeger Cougar 8000G or Walther P99 AS 9mm.

Florida

Has several seasons. None of them are conducive to carrying concealed very large handguns. But, when the weather calls for a jacket/coat carrying a compact over a sub compact is what I do.

Weather?
No.
The only thing that modifies how I carry is work. If I am going to be spending the day in the car I will switch to a shoulder holster. I tried going with a smaller gun in an IWB but it still isn't comfortable for looong car rides, and isn't very easy to get to in my car. (I miss bench seats)

I figure when I wear out my carry gun I'll buy another one. Why aren't guns considered a disposable item like tires? Let's compare the numbers to the tires I priced yesterday.

Funny you mentioned this. I was discussing it not too long ago with a couple of my friends. We came to a conclusion that the belief you should be able to put $20,000 of ammo through a $500 gun without any issues/maintainance is a uniquely American concept. You wouldn't buy a $30,000 car and expect to put 100k on it with doing basic servicing. No one would expect to put 40 times the cars value in fuel through it during it's operational life.

I always seem to be able to carry my Airweight with either shorts or pants in my pocket. It does get heavy after a while. If I were wearing dress close and a sport jacket, a belt holster or shoulder holster would be the best option.

As with other post-ers, J-frame in my pocket. Consistency of carry regardless of weather is part of my choice. For really cold weather (rare in Alabama), I have a heavy coat with pass-through slits at the pockets. I can reach through to my trouser pockets--useful for other than drawing a gun!:)
