jee, we must be doing something right, our enemies don't attack unless we're
being affective, right?......

Checking down thru the list there, I'd say we seem to be in good company ;)

>Hi,
>Did you know that you have been officially classed as a "Hate Group" by the
>odious Simon Wiesenthal Centre? See for yourself:

Michael New is a hate group? /These guys are nuts. Then again, they are the ones with the swastika at the top of their page.

Now adays any group or organization or individul that goes against their social agenda is a "hate group". I noticed that a local gun show promoter here was listed :D

I wonder how soon it will be before JPFO is added.

It sure does not seem to take much to be branded anti government or a hate group. Since HCI and others of their ilk hate gun owners so much, could we request that those groups be added?

Dear sirs:

A friend of mine brought your "Digital hate 2001" listing to my attention, thinking I might find some of the entries interesting. Indeed I did!

May I ask exactly what basis you use for deciding that a particular site is a "hate site"? Because some of these sites just don't, on the face of it, qualify!

Take www.vetothegovernor.org for instance. I just can't quite figure out how anyone could honestly mistake this site for an "anti-government hate site". Is it at all possible that you've got people on your staff who are simply incapable of distinguishing between hate and honest political disagreements?

Clearly this is something you should check into; As it stands, your list strikes me as libel suit bait. Hope to hear back from you soon!

Do they include your site if you hate venal, incompetent politicians, special interests getting fat off your tax dollars, and self-righteous bastids that want to tell you how to run your life? Count me in!

I took the liberty of passing this info along so we could get a few others to send their bombardment in too. This is the real end target of hate crime legislation, it is a political tool and nothing more. I'll be sending them a letter shortly.

Looks like if you are anti Jew or anti Catholic you are a hate group. If you are a Christian you fall under the religious extremist category. I think by their definition, people who do not agree with them are hateful. I wonder if the people from the Simon Wiesenthal Center hate those other groups?

I just sort of scanned through their list, nothing systematic though, and came up with these links to "hate groups":
http://www.wagc.com/
http://nav.webring.yahoo.com/hub?index&ring=shootring
http://www.therightwing.com/conspiracy/index.html
http://expage.com/page/rtkba
http://msie.yahoo.com/autosearch?p=The+Y2K+Problem
http://www.billpalmer.com/amend2.htm
http://nrahq.org/shooting/museum/

As near as I can tell, all it takes to get on their list is to be concerned about preparedness, (Heck, one of their links is just a yahoo search on "Y2K"!) or object to gun control. Look at that last link; They've got the NRA's firearms museum down as a "hate" site!

Simon Wiesenthal (is he even still alive?) did some good work in the yaers past, tracking down the surviving Nazi war criminals. But after seeing this, any respect I had for his organization just went swirling down the drain.

WAGC a "hate group??" Give me an effing break...

I'm currently waiting for a call back from a former corworker, Mark Keefe, who is now editor of American Rifleman magazine.

I'm certain he'll be interested in hearing about the NRA museum being a hate group.

I just got off the phone with Mark. He's pretty preturbed that the Wiesenthal Center would list NRA like this.

He may put something in the magazine about it, but he's definitely going to boot it upstairs to the ILA and the legal depts.
