Under rated guns

Heh, I'll add one,

It's not what I would consider "cheap" but I think it's underrated as far as capabilities

Walther P99

I'd put it up against other more expensive tupperware like HK and Glock, rarely gets press. It was very early on scene with interchangeable backstraps, very accurate.

While I'm thinking about it,

Taurus models were mentioned - we should consider the PT1911 too! Hated by a few of the snobs I know but it sure is a great shooting 1911 for less than 1200$+

Just what I was thinking of for "under-rated" - not necessarily cheapest

A few come to mind....

Another Star fan checking in. Mine's a MOD 30MI. It's mother was a '51 Buick and it's father was an anvil but, wow, it's a shooter! 15+1 with the regular magazine or 17+1 with S&W 5900 Ramline mags.

If one swaps out a spring or two in a Feg PA 63, it becomes a great, light, pleasant-to-shoot carry gun.

Also, H&R .22 revolvers don't get near enough praise. They're the slant six of the gun world.

Note: If you're wondering, yes, I'm a little into cars....

bersa .380 cc. points great, slim, accurate, never jams and is light. one of the best guns per dollar that i've bought.

joke about Raven, but my x got me a .25 in kali about 15 years ago for $60. she just knew i liked guns but had no idea what she was buying. that thing shoots great...points well, accurate, and has never jammed. i did need to replace the extractor. but for $60 its a shooter--goes bang every time. i used to just drop it in my pocket when poping out to the local stop-n-rob.

just can't help thinking about the colt xse that i paid 900 for and would not cycle properly even after 3 times back and forth to the manufacturer. (they finally replaced it after i made a big stink with their head of marketing. the non-lemon replacement is a great shooter...but i still got a bad taste. for 900, i expect a gun that cycles.)

+1 on the glock and the cz's (i have the 85combat). great deals for very solid guns.
