I assume that they are landing unopposed.
What countries pay for fuel?
Do they live off the land here?
What do they do for ammo beyond the first day?
Remember how long it took to get the Desert Storm forces together?
How about their transport and kitchens?
Armoured vehicles - hard to transport significant size units by air.
Troops just can't land and take over Houston and look for guns.
Last what countries have enough effective troops to occupy the USA. The combined armies of Europe couldn't do it. The Russians?
The Chinese don't have the logistics at all.
We would have to pay these guys to invade us.
It just doesn't work.
The greatest threat is simply legislation that makes gun ownership near impossible and most of the country AND gun owners go along.
If you study military stuff, you find guys who fixate on the weapons and ignore the day to day stuff. My teacher in military history stressed goals, strategy and logistics and I've read since then.
That's why I don't worry about 6,000 troops.
Look NYC has about 30,000 police. LA County has 8,000 sherrifs. No conceivable UN force could impact this country.
Do you think UK troops who have survived Northern Ireland are going to line up to take the 747 to Dallas or Fayetteville?
