Everyone, everywhere, who is of sound mind, has been given the right to self-defense by his Creator. Only if he abuses that Right by abusing others can he lose that Right.
NO government can take it from him.
The Second Amendment merely acknowledges or affirms that God-given or Natural Right. Should man give in to his tyrannical, despotic nature and eliminate the Second Amendment, the Right to Keep Bear and Arms is not diminished or negated in the least.
The Right to self-defense and therefore the Right to Keep and Bear Arms (the means of that defense) predates and overrules any and all men or groups of men - and that includes governments of any sort.
That other governments have reduced their citizens to the category of subjects neither influences Natural Rights nor distracts me for a moment. We are Americans. We are the Sons and Daughters of the first and last remaining bastion of Freedom in the entire world. People from other countries acknowledge our freedom and flee their homelands to come to America to beneift from the Natural Rights purchased for Americans at great cost by our Founding Fathers and preserved by the blood of our ancestors.
Damn the man or men who try to take these Rights from us. They must not succeed - they DARE not succeed. We do not have the right to PERMIT them to succeed.
The blood of our fellow Americans demands we restore and secure the Bill of Rights, our Constitution, and our free way of life. I, for one, am ready and willing to die for that cause.
But before we go off the deep end and advocate violence, we have the moral obligation to help our increaslingly wayward government understand the Rights of Man - or Mankind if you are so silly to think I would exclude anyone because of their gender, race, religion, or ethnic group.
We all are Americans.
We all are part of Mankind.
We all have the Right to Self Defense.
We all have the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
We all have the obligation to unite and protect ourselves and our fellow Americans.
We all have the obligation to preserve, by the application of LEAST necessary force, our Right to live in Liberty and Freedom.
Cursed be he, and woe unto him, who seeks the path of continual usurpation of these Rights. His moral slippery slope need not be ours.
Soap box, jury box, ballot box and cartridge box.
The choice remains with the enemies of Man.
Our despotic leaders must be forced to remember that "Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or abolish it...."
Our elitist leaders had better choose with great circumspection. Many lives, ours and theirs, depend upon their understanding of our resolve.
That is where I stand. He who would move me, take note.
