Triton 450 SMC / .45 ACP Giveaway

Please look at the initial post I put on TFL. Notice that there is no edit tag. Additionally, none of our posts in this subject have been edited. Now, having said that lets look at the remainder of the post.

"To the first 50 people who respond to this post" In the Military during Close Order Drill this is called the "Preparatory Command"

"To take advantage of either offer please send an e-mail" This would be the "Command of Execution"

Now, using some critical thinking skills, you should have been able, like the 400 plus people that responded to the promotion, to put two and two together and realize an e-mail needed to be sent (i.e. "To take advantage <snip>).

That all being said, you also have not noticed that I, as of yet, haven't posted an end time/date for the 50th box of 450SMC.

This is definitely a case of premature sniveling. In the future please pay more attention, you'll look better.

I have received both your e-mails and your box will be going out today.

I was never in the military (too dumb to get accepted), so that explains it.

PS. Edit tags do not normally attach to TFL posts.

Trition:

I think did a good job getting the Ammo out.. Stop and Think.
They Did not have to give any thing away.
Hope all have a safe Week-End.. EnJoy>

I find it funny that some people get all strung out about not getting something for free.

Reminds me of welfare!

I can attest that the Glocktalk giveaway was the real deal.

Based on the cutoff, it looks like I made the cut on this one as well.

If I didn't...oh well...my bad luck!

Thanks Again Triton!

Might I offer a legitimate question amongst the angst in this post?

Is it safe to fire 450 SMC from a .45 pistol in good condition, provided that a heavier recoil spring is used? That is what I gather from the information on the Triton web-site. If so, exactly how heavy a spring would be required?

Thanks

Got my 450 SMC today. It was kinda like Christmas, only more emotional for me.:D

Free gun stuff. What a fabulous concept!!

I went to the range. Had to knock off work early to do it, but I figured it was the least I could do after all the trouble Triton went to to get the ammo to me so quickly.

Took some .45 ACP, some .45 Super rated at 1200fps.(Texas Ammunition), and the 450 SMC rated at 1150fps., as well as my Springfield Longslide .45 Super.

Loaded the mags A,B,C,A,B,C so that I had two mags loaded with all three flavors. As I shot the two mags empty, I was suprised at how mild the recoil was with the 450 SMC. It was a little stronger than the Winchester white box .45 ACP, but noticeably milder than the .45 Super. It was very comfortable to shoot.

Then I loaded eight rounds into a mag and fired all of it at a one inch black dot from about 17yds. Got a suprisingly small group! It was such a nice group that I loaded a magfull of Winchester and slowly repeated the attempt on another black dot. The group with the plinking ammo was not nearly as nice.

I don't own a velocimometer:confused:, so I could not varify the advertised velocities of the various ammo I shot, but I will take Triton's word that 1150fps is pretty close to what I was getting. If that is the case, this 450 SMC is a lot nicer to shoot than the Texas Ammunution variety, unless you are strictly interested in shooting it to experience recoil.

Triton, I really appreciate the free sample. Looking forward to getting more the more traditional way (paying for it). Thanks a lot!!

Sent my e-mail request. I am always willing to try something new, haven't fired a Triton round yet. So far, though, my KP90 has eaten everything I fed it

I got my 45 ACP today. Thanks for the ammo Triton! It looks like real nice stuff, firing it this weekend. :D SamC

I received my box of Triton ammo today. I emailed them in response to their post on tactical forums, not the one here so I can't speak for how people here are doing, but I'm extremely satisfied.

Futo Ino, with all due respect, do you really expect Triton to search through the first 50 posts, compare e-mail addresses and deal with the rest of their business at the same time? They're offering a free service and I would think that it's your responsibility to follow up ASAP. YMMV

Regards.

PS, I am in no way affiliated with the company.

Has the cutoff been reached for the .450 ammo? If so when was the cutoff?

Thanks.
