Traditions 1873 BP

Thanks for the explanation. I've got a lot to learn -- even about this one gun, which I think is one of the best looking guns ever made. And congratulations on winning the auction for this fine piece of history. It looks like you may have gotten a rare one -- a jewel.
 
Smokin Gun, I have one NEW Pietta and one used New Army NJ. I just bought a new R&D con. cylinder. I was going to get the Kirst one but those costs too much(wife said so :rolleyes:).

Here's the KICKER...I use one, the same R&D(that is made for a Pietta) con. cylinder for both guns. The guy I bought it from(on GB) stated that this can only be used on a Pietta. Maybe the New Army NJ is made by Pietta? :confused:
 
Does the N.J. say Navy Arms or Hartford model?on it? Both would have to be Piettas if the R&D fit both...the Pietta cylinders are .005"-, .010" longer than the others i have run across... a good buy and good choice as it seems :O)
