Thoughts On Pocket Carry

About pocket carry, IMHO at the end I think it all comes to...
If you are standing at the moment that you are attacked, you can reach your weapon...:)

All the best

That's why we keep another gun in the car

Yep, that is where I keep the MBR and tactical shotgun.....:D

Anyway....... I always pull the pocket pistol out when in the car. There are not many holster / carry options that work well sitting in the car.

Cross draw and shoulder holster, which, of course, have their own drawbacks when out of the car. There is no perfect way to carry.

I love pocket carry. It's much more comfortable for me to slip my J-frame into my pocket (in Mika's holster) and walk out. I used to do appendix carry, but since I don't have to adjust my belt size, this is far more comfortable. I also have my right hand in my pocket most of the time, and drawing can be quick if you practice. If you have a gun with a hammer, it can snag though. But there is a technique to draw it out of the pocket without snagging.

Concealed BUG Vest/Body Armor Holster

With this particular holster, as long as you wear your body armor you'll have your BUG holster with you. The holster attaches to your vest cover and essentially becomes one unit with your cover. For me and my partners, the holster addresses all of my needs: comfort, security, accessibility and concealment.

The holster also comes with a ballistic fragmentation panel that covers your gun should your gun take a direct hit. The panel significantly reduuces any chances of being injured by a bullet frag or ricochet...a featurre no other holster on the markket offers. Checkout the holster at www.bugpocket.com.

I normally carry a Kimber Ultra Carry II .45 ACP in my pocket in an Andrews pocket holster. I have never had a problem with a smooth, quick snag free draw. Occasionally I carry the Ultra Carry II or a Dan Wesson Commander Bobtail (Scandium) in a Brommeland IWB holster. I have never had a problem drawing while seated, unless my seat belt is fastened, pocket or IWB. Releasing the seat belt would be a standard step in a car jacking. The Andrews holster is made for the pistol and conceals it very well.

Wow, 111 posts on this thread, counting mine, and 'til now, no one's asked the question first posed by the immortal Mae West:

Is that a gun in your pocket or are you just glad to see me?:D
