Thoughts on a mil spec 1911

Received a Colt Government Model from my buddy for Christmas, shot it yesterday with a variety of ball and RNL....dead center at 25 yds with about everything and made the plates fal down with style.

Seeing new Colt Govt models at gun shows as low as $725 .

I shed all my Kimbers and now have two all steel black Colts. An SXE and 1991,both have shot great with no failures.

You guys need to stop it. I want a Mil-Spec from Springfield in the worst way. Now you have me looking at Buds Gunshop for a new pistol. They have the Mil Spec for $638 with free shipping. Plus Springfield Armory has an offer of two free mags, a mag pouch and nylon bag free if you buy a gun before the end of december. I can resist anything but temptation. So please stop already. I'm getting sweaty hands and starting to itch all over.
