Hiya, Ramsport!
What's news in your neck of the woods?
Here's a more recent pic of that revolver for ya:

Well, gang, I did it today, typed up a ton of those forms and gave them to my orderly room. I feel like I'm now soiled and need to shower. The nice SSgt in the orderly room had no idea what to do with them, she flipped through all of them in the stack I prepared, and the first thing she said was "These are all yours?" "Yup" I replied, "For right now". She put them on a corner of the desk, and told me to remind her she shouldn't piss me off anytime soon (ha-ha). That was the extent of it. It's funny because I know she sleeps with a S&W 5906 under her pillow...
Yeah, I figured McClellan looked the other way on their "mandatory registration", a good portion of my collection came through the FFL that the Outdoor Recreation Program owned on base! Heck, even when I was here at Patrick before between 1986-1989, they never enforced it. It was just in the last few weeks that it came out of the woodwork, with the above letter.
Sorry I haven't left the military yet, Gonzo. I hope I haven't ruined your image of how the perfect military troop is supposed to behave. George is also right, unlawful orders should not be obeyed, to do so is also considered a courts-martial offense.
