Things that a lot of people say about guns that ticks you off

"Arsenal of weapons, including high powered semiautomatic rifles and pistols"

Yep, I got one. My swat team armory consists of a half dozen bolts (sniper grade) a garand (military high powered combat rifle) a 742 30-06 (compact high powered semiauto rifle) shotguns (no need to tell you guys how evil shotguns are) and high powered high capacity handguns. (gee, one of them is even a MAGNUM!!! [.357])

Of course, I have thousands of rounds of deadlly ammunition that were carefully chosen for their killing ability, along with thousands of rounds of cheaply made combat ammunition. (duh, is there any other reason to choose ammunition other than effectiveness or price?)

"The defendent also had many pounds of class I explosives.(who doesn't have a dozen cans of black or smokeless powders on hand?"

Take me back to my cell so I can just hang myself and spare my family from my defense costs.

Anything that contains "Obama"

Anything that contains "spec ops"

Anything that contains "toyta Prius"

Anything that contains "global warming"

Anything that contains "____ caliber/gun is better than ____ caliber/gun"

Anything that contains "Deadly ammunition"

Anything that contains "vegan"

Anything that contains "assult rifle"

Anthing that contains "guns that contain 10rd mags are more safe than any gun with +10rd mags"

I could go on for hours.

Years back when a local PD transitioned to Glocks, a local reporterette referred to their duty weapons as "fully loaded Glock assault revolvers". That is an exact quote. Stupidity and ignorance tick me off.

Anything the media says......

I also saw a news report from that guy who let out all those rare animals.

direct quote "....animals shot with hi powerd scope" I guess we do not need guns anymore. just scopes.

The CLIP fell out of my daughters' hair as she was reading "Guns & Ammo" MAGAZINE!

Isn't the english language wonderfull?

My neighbor's gardener when I came out to get the mail with a holstered gun on my belt: "Are you going to shoot me?"
Me: "Do you need to be shot for some reason?" Followed quickly with: "NO. I'm NOT going to shoot you. Friend, you might be standing on a safest piece of ground for blocks."

People who try to argue that the sole reason of a gun is to kill people.

People who try to say you should not be allowed to have a gun that carries more than 10 rounds.

Anybody who wants to own shotguns but wants to ban handguns.

The media who loves to report mass murder with guns, but almost never reports the story when the gun is used to save someones life.

When the media reports a list of gun killings, but ignores that a very small % of the guns out there are used for crimes.

Anyone who tries to blame the gun for the actions of the criminal, or uses a tragedy as a way to push the anti gun agenda.

Anything Bill Mahar or Michael Moore says about them.

People who ask "why do you need a gun?"

The list could go on and on.....

I wouldn't call him a "joke" ... but then I can't print here what I usually call him and Fat Mikey ... it's not only impolite, but there might be ladies reading and I'm too much of a gentleman to call it like I see it.

The alphabet soup that goes along with the AR world. BUIS , SOPMOD, etc.

"Deagle" - Thank the video game industry for that one

"High Powered Assault Rifle" - By definition an assault rifle cannot be high powered. If it fires a "high power" cartridge, it's a battle rifle.

"If someone breaks into my home at night, all we'll need to do is rack the slide of my shotgun, and they'll go running - that's part of the deterrent effect."

Usually accompanied with:

"No, we won't need to train with it. It's a shotgun. As long as we get close, that's fine."

I really really want one!

Where can I find and buy one of those "fully loaded Glock assault revolvers"? I really want one, but it really does need to be a fully loaded one: gosh, who would buy an UNloaded assault revolver? Kinda useless, no?

Oh and I'm so glad the guitar I bought a couple years ago was fully tuned! I wouldn't know where to begin tuning it, and frankly I wouldn't have bought one that was out of tune!

One day someone is going to tell me why reporters speak into Michaels, and get recorded on camcorders even if their name isn't Cam!

Annoys me to the core when people fret constantly about how horribly difficult is it to field strip a Ruger Mark I/II/III pistol and get it put back together. It's just REALLY not that tough. The toughest part is getting that little swinging strut to land where it's supposed to land, and if you follow the advice in the manual to tilt the pistol a particular way, it all lines up perfectly. It's not like there are small bits to fit in place, or small parts to lose. It's got to be one of the gun world's biggest whines, and it's just really not a big deal.
