The king of cheap

Why even ask what others think of YOUR guns?

That'd be like me asking all the Harley riders at a Poker Run what they think of my Goldwing or my V65 Sabre.I'm the one riding what I want,as are they, and both my bikes together cost less than half of a Harley...

That translates directly to more beer money...

Plus,I can feel my butt at the end of the day,too...:p

depends. if 2 of your crappy guns cost the same as 1 fine firearm, id rather save and pass on the 2 crapsters, and get the nice one

Hey kirk, I almost went there with the motorcycle comparison but didn`t. Glad you did! Got my share of hrs. in the seats of both foreign and American made scoots. Makes me laugh when I hear a Harley rider blasting Jap. riders to the point where the Harley rider won`t even ride with someone on a Jap. bike. Usually after having a conversation with the 'all knowing' Harley rider you`ll find out he`s never rode a Jap bike . If same rider would bother to look at all that pretty add-on chrome he`s put on his 'made in Amer.' Harley he`d notice it`s usually made in Tiawan or Japan. Not to mention his engine bearings(along with other internal eng./trans. parts) are made in Japan:D:D:D. Found the same attitude with some 'gun experts'.

I don't where w_houle lives but I bought most of my guns while making 12.75 an hour or less. buy what makes you happy and if it does't trade up.

don't worry about what people say or think. a lot of people talk big on the internet. May people have the best guns around financed by their credit cards.

I have 2 hi points any many people bash hi points. I don't care. They are range plinkers and they never fail. the rest of my guns were all under $300 each. I am sure that the $1000 guns are pretty sweet. I hope to own one some day and find out.

My (2) 9mm are $300 guns, sigma allied force/Ruger P95 Both are excellent
+ a revolver (used) 357 Security Six $250 :D a few athers I paid more than
I wanted to,but all in all I'm a happy gun shooter ;)

I love a bargain too. I've got four rifles in my safe that together cost under $420.

I have carried a $130 handgun for SD on occasions and at one time had 4 handguns that together cost under $550. I currently have one handgun on HD duty that I purchased used for under $270 and used to have an HD gun that I bought used for $200.

A few of my bargains have been very high quality guns, some are definitely a bit rough, but they've all been well-made, solid performers with good reputations.

I'm glad you like your Lorcins and Brycos and such, but with the availability of inexpensive military surplus pistols, I'm not sure I understand your obsession with the zinc cheapies.

With cheap CZ-52's, PA-63's, CZ82's and 83's, P64's and whatever is imported next, it seems like it might be worthwhile to save up for just a couple more days and get something that will work out of the box.

There's a difference between "The King of Cheap" and "The King of Inexpensive".

Actually I would like to get one. You have any online sources you can point me to? PM me so we don't get this thread too off track.

I'm on a tighter budget than maybe 99% of the folks on this board.

I'm down to two guns: one in 357 I carry daily and lovingly tweak, and can shoot the snot out of, and a .22LR size/heft/action equivelent for practice. Both fit the same holsters that I've either made or modified.

The main carry gun is at least respectable in overall quality and damn near tops in reliability: Ruger New Vaquero 357. It was worth about $500 new.

No regrets. I'd take that over any dozen lesser critters, even if the total value was higher the other way. I don't buy guns as investments.

Excepting the single action thing, that's the way I'd do it if on a super tight budget. Very nice Jim! Hope the budget grows soon.

With cheap CZ82's and 83's

The CZ-82 is great, and a available for great prices, the 83 on the other hand is not at all cheap, they're generally priced in the 400's.

But as far as bargains go, I'd add Tokarev and CZ-70 to that list, and Makarov, if you're lucky enough to find a good deal.

Yeah, My first pistols were $100 for 2 - bought used. Cheap cheap cheap. Could barely afford them.

Then again, they were a 32 acp colt 1903 and a 22lr colt woodsman...

I know how it is...any more than a box of 9mm a month and a single trip to the range, and it comes out of my food bill....at least until the weather cools down enough to drop my electricity bill. It took selling some stuff to get me the funds for my SCCY.

Some folks can't afford a pricey firearm, so they make do with what they can. Nothing wrong with that, so long as it's good enough to do what's required of it in a safe and predictable manner.

Hell, I would like to find a Job for $12.75 per hour ! To some of Us You are the lucky ba$tard ! .......WVleo

What difference does it make what "CajunBass" thinks of the gun you like? I'm just "some guy on the internet." For all you know I don't know dung from applebutter. As long as you like it, and you're happy with it, don't let what someone else thinks bother you. This is the internet. It ain't real. :D

There's a difference between "The King of Cheap" and "The King of Inexpensive".

QFT....the difference is in the savvy and wisdom of the buyer....

...and that's why I have a Firestar M43 that I bought for $150 that has yet to fail me....

Inexpensive

Inexpensive means I can buy it now, rather than look at it is the case for another six months or year.
BTW, went shooting with a buddy over weekend. Me with Hi-Point C9, him with Desert Eagle 9. Neither of us had a misfire. His trigger pull seemed lighter thanm mine. I have more experience shooting and when it came down to comparing holes in paper, mine was better.
Shooting experience with a cheap firearms still trumps inexperience with an expensive firearm.
