When at the page for the Georgia laws click on 16 and that is all Georgia criminal codes. Look at the laws that apply to harboring a person on the run. See for you own eyes if you are an accomplice to crimes gets you in hot water. Bet on plant earth, on any part of the Milky Way galaxy, and in all 50 states it does.

Your state should have should have a page like it. Try and read it and comprehend the laws before you get locked up.

Exactly what it says. No Law requires a person to use deadly force to subdue an attacker. None. Just because you fancy yourself to be a tough guy does not mean that a reasonable person would/could/should expect her to do anything other than what she thought that she must do to preserve her life.

As to her not "driving away"? How do you know that she hadn't mentioned to him (the psychotic killer) where her daughter was, and that she did not fear him taking out revenge for betrayal by going to, and killing her daughter? Answer: You don't. What she did know at the time is that the LEOs in your area (your good buddys) couldn't find their own ass if they used both hands. The chances of them finding the psycho before the psycho found friends or familiy of her's to seek reprisal on were in fact very great.

So, unless you or your buddies have some credible evidence that she was an active particpant in this jailbreak (keeping in mind that you have provided none so far) then your allegations don't mean the electrons they're printed on.

Nothing funny about it. Noting that there are news channels is not at all germane to the subject at hand. Being asked to cite the sources of evidence for the particular allegations you are making is standard for TFL. Sadly (though not surprisingly) producing evidence that is irrelevant, incompetent and immaterial to a particular argument is pretty standard for some of the participants here as well. Fortunately the former are the vast majority while the latter are a minority. Or as the owner of this forum likes to say "TFL: More Signal, Less Noise"

I think Rich has given you and your buddies an exellent opportunity to blow this case wide open. Take him up on his offer. Sad to say, yes, I do know many parts of the law. More than I wish I had to know, but for whatever reason people seem to make more laws every day. Some even like to imagine ones that aren't there. Exasperating really.
