The CZ pistol bayonet

You know, CZ tried other appendages before the bayonet, namely they had the rail mounted spork, but they found that there were some safety issues involved so, sadly to some, it was discontinued in the early 90s.

lol mabe next they will develope rail mounted toe nail clippers:D

I think it would be cool to have in the collection for just plain weirdness. Can't really see the tactical advantage. If confronted with one it would not make me take the attack any less seriously though.

If you are looking to expand your options with your pistol, may I be bold enough to recommend America's premier shooting bludgeon, the Hi Point JHP/JCP series. If you could get a smith to attach a lanyard loop it would open up a new school of martial arts. :D

Seriously I have seen the pistol bayonet on the CZ and think it is mondo cool. Just would not deploy it mine own self. But then I have a cutlass and a large revolver........

I guess the bayonet and that tough looking muzzle appendage they have, that looks like a meat tenderizer can be useful for military personnel in CQB situations, but other than that it is more of a novelty don't you guys think? Do any military organizations actually use it? Czech Special Forces?

I'm thinking about buying one(as a whole kit) just to have in the collection.

I believe it was introduced as a room clearing weapon. It was meant to deter BG from grabbing front of weapon. But, I beleive they are selling it as novelty now.

Maybe they want to get some movie exposure, like the guy shoots the gun empty, then throws it at the bad guy and it pegs him! Someone with a sense of humor needs to get one, and then stick on a couple weiners, and light a campfire. Classic photo?

Not so classic when the moron tries to eat the weiner right off of the bayonett. Naturally, his finger would be right on the trigger. :D

Sure, I'd get one and mount the thing right under my 32x scope.

The bayo tended to make the Garand and M-16A1's (don't know about others) throw off accuracy. Wonder if a bayo on the noisy end of a 75 would hinder accuracy? lol!

Golden rule of gun Fighting.
No. #1 Never take a knife to a gun fight
No. #2 he who has the last bullet wins
No. #3 See No.#1
of course if you take a knife and gun to a gun fight see No.#2

The CZ pistol bayonet is wicked cool, I don't care what anyone else says! It's enough to make Chuck Schumer and Sarah Brady have to change their Depends and that's enough for me! I'm thinking I'm going to have to get one.

Doesn't touch the barrel, so it should have no effect on the weapon's accuracy what so ever. The weight on the end of the gun might effect the shooter's accuracy, but it's really not that heavy so I doubt it.

I'm sorry, but I just can't take this seriously... ( however I have several CZ's, & would likely buy one if I came across on at a show, & it wasn't overly priced )... BTW... I noticed that Buds claims to still have some, for like $90.00...

I think they should team up with Ronco, & offer a pocket fisherman add on as well...:D

Planning to buy one next year with an SP-01. For grins, mostly: I figure the tactical block should reduce muzzle flip a little, but the bayonet's solely for laughs/a conversation piece.

Winner of the "Stupid Gun Accessory of the Year Award."

Room Clearing... I would rather have an SMG or a short barrel shotgun.

This was purely for mall ninjas who have watched too many bad movies. Now I hear you can get Sigs from Switzerland with a similar arrangement except it also includes a corkscrew, awl, file, can openner, bottle opener, flat head screw driver and for 2008 a USB mem card. :p

I don't remember the comedian who said this but it always stuck with me.

DI "If your bayonette becomes enloged in your foe then fire a round from your rifle to release it!"

boot "Sgt., if I have a round in my rifle there aren't going to be any damn bayonette fights!"

...Stupidest thing I have ever seen.

If 20 rounds of 9mm can't stop an attacker, what difference is a blade going to make?

Maybe it is for the truly dedicated Mall Ninja that needs to commit Seppuku...:D

Not every member has both hands free, someone has to hold the shield in the stack, and someone has to be the long rifleman. The Tac Block has it's uses (and CZ wasn't the first one with a Tac Block), the bayonet was added more for kicks later on.

Don't hate

It's one of those deals that I wouldn't buy, but like a grip safety, it's a "Why not" accessory. If I had one, I'd probably use it. Sure, there's only a 1 in a million chance that you'd run out of ammo and still have one or more bad guys kickin, but IF YOU DO, that bayo could be indispensable to saving your life. Not really any downside other than a slight hindrance to handling characteristics.
