I picked 9mm vs...

Never fails, whatever firearms blog/forum you go to, this is guranteed a topic. Glock vs... is a very close 2nd.

As a retired military officer who was around when the change from 45 acp to 9mm was made, I have the most arguments about which is better. I won't say my opinion at this time :D

I went with 9 vs 40 vs 45. The net is saturated with those threads. And of course, when talking guns with my buddies or other Marines, it always turns into 45 vs other caliber.

Glock vs. the world.

Not only do Glock fanboys come out in droves anytime someone asks if they should by a Glock or Brand-X, they go out of their way to tell people asking about wheelguns to buy a Glock. People with only one gun have only one answer for everything.

I think the 9mm v. .45 Debate continues despite improvements in bullet design for both calibers. Everyone has their opinion, which is right.

I think 1911 vs Glock would have been a great option.

Revolver vs Automatic was a good choice.

I think Tacticool vs standard would of been a good option as well.

I voted Glock vs World

9mm vs .45 guys

1911 vs Glock

With all the tupperware out there you can get away with not getting a glock(XD,SR9,M&P,etc) and I think a tupperware pistol should be in every collection.

That being said so should a 1911 and not to many competitors there.

It was always interesting to me what the Match Director at my local IDPA match said, "there are those that shoot Sigs, and then there's everyone else". He said this as I was registering for my first match with a Sig P229 in hand, and the comment (offered in a friendly way) was derogatory toward Sig.

I remember talking to a guy behind the counter about a 9 when a customer at the other end had to come over and tell me I'd be making a mistake to buy a 9mm, "The 45 gotz knockdown power!" he said. I've had this play out so many times...

I still think this is the biggest debate, but it seems to me it also represents two generations. Maybe this debate loses it's intensity as the old timers get older.

Glock v. the world
Taurus is junk
.380 is inadequate
Handguns for bear defense
1911 v. DA

To name just a few I see often....
