The best "cheap" holster you have ever found?

I would not consider that too much for a nicely made holster. It is possibly to pay $350+ on a simple leather holster.

Well heck, if were talkin' custom made cowboy rigs, yea, they get expensive, as there's a lot of leather to be worked up.

IWB holsters from Milt Sparks/TT Gunleather/5 Shot, etc. are great values as they help to carry the weight of a heavy gun very well.

Again, I don't mind paying for quality, and don't waste my money on junk that's going to go in a shoebox.

I just purchased the slim model by Applegate Holster Works.

That thing looks like a scary prototype version of the Crossbreed SuperTuck. It is cheap though.

Check out www.littlebearholsters.com.
They have hand stitched leather holsters for the price of a decent kydex holster. All leather IWB for about $85. Not bad at all for hand made. They have some pricier ones with shark skin and stuff, but most are way more reasonable than I would have expected.

If you have the time - try a couple of local gun shows. There are usually lots of decent holsters available for $20 or less. It may take a few shows to find what you want, but that's the fun of it...

Most everyone has a box somewhere with holsters they don't use, or are junk. I've got two in mine, a Tagua and an Uncle Mikes.

Buy once, cry once....don't waste time and money on stuff that is crap.

I have a few nice made to order leather holsters, a couple Kydex or Kydex combos, a Fobus or two and one non leather made by Robert Mika. It was the lowest priced, but it aint cheap. It is very comfy and the synthetic material repels the inevitable Gulf coast sweat. Come better weather I will put the RAMI back in the Hazel leather rig I paid good money for, ( its worth it, but sticky). Horses for courses, tools for the job at hand.

In summer, I pocket carry either a J frame or a PM 9. I have a bunch of pocket holsters for each. The Mika is still my favorite....and about the cheapest.

Chickasaw Indian made this and gave it to me. A little crude but fits awesome.

I'm going to echo a few other folks and go with High Noon Holsters.

I'm currently on my third Split Decision. (Other two were sold with the weapons)

For a pocket holster (Kahr PM9) the DeSantis Nemesis at about $15 is tough to beat.

For an IWB, Nate's Striker 1 (www.ubghoslters.com) is an incredible value. I like mine better than the two Milt Sparks VMIIs I've owned, and they are about 60% of the price and less than 1/2 the wait time.

Good, less expensive holsters?

Well, the Don Hume O.T (open top) is a great holster and relatively "cheap".

I try and buy my nicer holsters (for specific pistols) nowadays off Ebay and/or Gunbroker. I just picked up three very nice holsters: Safariland, Bianchi and a Wilson Combat lo-profile holster from Ebay (for less than half their original cost and they were in perfect condition). Something to think about.

I've been using the same DeSantis IWB holster daily now for ten years. I think it cost $15 to $20 and suits my needs perfectly.

I use a Galco Sto-N-Go holster for my PM-9, it cost me maybe 20$ and it fits, works, and feels great. My only gripe is the rather large plasic J clip on it, so maybe ill switch to that Don Hume at the start of this thread.

I have a Kahr CW9 and the two best cheap holsters I have for it are my Matrix m7x290 (synthetic) and my Stow-N-Go sto290, both by Galco. I think they were $20, and $25, respectively. Both from local gun shops.

I freakin' LOVE my Galco Jak Belt Slide jak212, but it was about $65 which to me puts it in the next price bracket up.

Yes, I am a Galco fanboy.

I wear all my holsters on casual leather belts, 1 1/4 - 1 1/2 inches wide, mostly 1 1/2.

Mak

I bought a crossman air gun holster to cary my mak in when walking through the woods. It had a pouch for an extra mag as well. All for the cheap price of 6.99 at walmart. I see they are marketing it as a hi point C9 holster on the net for $30, it's still only $6.99 at walmart.
