I have 2 that I have found. Both at the same time. I was at a gun show and spotted a guy that had a rubbermaid container with 1/2 doz or so holsters in it. I needed a holster for my .32M Single Six so I sorted thru them. I didn't have the gun with me so a grabbed 2 that I thought "might" work. 1 was a Brauer Bros. H43 and the other a Longhorn 52-34. Both were brand new.

Got home and tried em out and the Brauer fit my SS like a glove. A month later I bought a .357 Security Six and when I got home I remembered the other holster I had tosesd in a tub with a bunch of other "extras". The Longhorn fit the Security Six even better. Both are made out of good solid leather about 1/8" think. The Longhorn is swede lined.

Cost for both....$10 ($5 each).

Glock Sport Combat Holster

I can't believe no one has mentioned the Glock Sport Combat holster yet, it's around $14, and has great retention and keeps your glock very high and tight to your body. It's plastic and looks like a cheap piece of crap, but works REALLY well.

I use it in conjunction with a Beltman double layer bullhide belt, and even under a loose t-shirt my glock 30 just disappears.

David the Gnome beat me to it. The High Noon Mr. Softy is a phenomenal bang for the buck. So much so that I'm not in such a hurry to spend more. Although I know I will. And when I do it will be another HN offering

Just got mine and could not believe how well it worked. :D

Gould & Goodrich "Yaqui" belt slide in leather. Purchased for about $5.00 off eBay some years ago. It's great since it holds & fits a number of my pistols.:)
I look at my "boxful of worthless" holsters and just cry....:(

Ditto for Fobus Paddles. I have an older fixed cant paddle for a Commander sized 1911 and have a new one for a S&W M&P compact. Both under $30 with tax.
Those Israelis do a lot of handgun totin'. I like Fobus for being secure but still easy to take on and off without removing my belt.

For leather I really like Kramer's Belt Scabbards.

I have to echo the Don Hume JIT Slide. I use one every day for either of my primaries. This one is probably my favorite.

Another I've found especially for Glocks, is the Galco Matrix MX7, which is about the same price as the DH JITs. Very good as well, but of the plastic type if that bothers you. Another inexpensive, yet very good holster is Uncle Mike's Kydex. I use one of these for biking at night with a Glock 26. It has a very positive click for retention, but is adjustable for that one hand draw while balancing a bike.

Wal Mart Special

If you aren't specifically looking for a concealment holster, Wal Mart sells a Crossman airgun holster for less than $7. It has a front magazine pouch. I have one for each of my Sig P229s. One goes from bedside safe to truck safe every day. The other has gone on several camping trips, still look good, all seams in place, no problems yet, and the one is a couple years old. :D

Well, my 239's Galco summer special is well made and affordable, I think I paid fifty bucks. It's a copy of a leather, IWB 100+ Milt Sparks, half the price and zero wait. I had a Uncle Mikes Side kick for my 342 that worked great and only cost around ten bucks. That one was made out of that Uncle Mikes fiber material.

I came across a beautiful revolver holster at a gun show sitting on a table with a bunch of old junk holsters. It was made of heavy, basketweave leather, lined and finished finely and had perfect double stitching. The guy that had it didn't know where it came from or what it fit. He got it in a box of old holsters. He took $20 for it. It fits a 4" N frame S&W and fit my Mountain Gun perfectly. It is only marked "Mexico" and that's it. There some very fine leather craftsmen in Mexico. Mexican saddles are some of the finest. This holster for $20 was a very good bargain.:D

I just purchased the slim model by Applegate Holster Works. At $30 I think it will be extremely competitive with a lot of the ones everyone has been posting on here. Still waiting on it to come in. I'll let you know what I think when I get it.

"Paying way too much for a holster" is a personal opinion.

I don't mind paying for quality. I've paid $100 for VM2's, and $60-$75 for other custom made leather holsters.

When I bought my P229 it came with a Tagua OWB, and it's garbage. Leather is cheap and thin, and is already cracked.

A good belt/holster makes/breaks your carrying experience, so I don't see a reason to skimp. Why put an expensive gun in a POS holster?

I will say the DeSantis Nemisis is a great pocket holster.

The best cheap holster I've ever used is a Hume JIT slide - it serves it's purpose quite well and it's less than $25...

My best cheap holster has got to be my High Noon Mr. Softy. Something around $25 to buy but well made and has held up well.

Don Hume would have to come in a close second.
