Test yourself and post your score...

I won't take the test the OP posted, because I strongly disagree with the left/right scale.

However, on the okcupid test, I got 85% social liberal, 75% economic conservative. This puts me right in the middle of Libertarianism.

And Danzig, I got 131 on your Libertarianism test.

32. Some of the questions didn't give me the answer I would choose. IRS vs. FBI? I despise and distrust both. Same thing with Executive or legislative branch. Choosing which I trust more is like asking if I would prefer gonorrhea or chlamydia. Neither one, thank you. How many points for "The Govt Sucks?" Or "All politicians are lying parasites?" "Cane and hang them" wasn't on there, so my score isn't really indicative of my opinions. I'm with Claire Wolfe-"It's too late to change the system and too early to shoot the bastards."
On the Libertarian test I got 100% on personal issues, 90% on economic issues.

Actually, with the test's bias, I'm surprised I didn't score lower. 12
Actually it's not a case of higher or lower... but "righter" or "lefter"... :D :D

On the "smallest test"...
I got 70% over 70% and came up Liberterian!!!
I can agree with this to a point... but I cannot abandon my Conservative ideals to call myself a Liberterian in earnest... :) ;)

I got 38 on the Liberterian Purity test...
31-50 points: my libertarian credentials are obvious. Doubtless I will become more extreme as time goes on.

Lord Nikon
I won't take the test the OP posted,
Party pooper... :p

Quite right my friend. But obviously the democratic party was considerably different then than it is now. Jefferson was very libertarian in his thinking.

That's quite the score Lord Nikon. I'm very libertarian but you got me beat. I wonder where we differ?

Hmm took the okcupid and I think yeah we should have deuls to the death! then again that is highly immoral by my standard but it would also solve overpopulation

Thanks for the clarification Joab. Either way, Jefferson's views were considerably different than those of the Republicans or Democrats today.

I think I take the cake on the lowest score for the first one. I got an 11. Granted there were a fair amount of questions that I would have liked asked on there, as I consider myself a bit more moderate than the Hillary/Bill Clinton middle-ground that I scored there. Oh well.

My antennae go to quivering whenever I see these tests with questions that include "qualifiers, like "because ...".

11. In the long run, do you think we can reduce crime more by building more prisons or providing more financial assistance to rebuilding our inner cities?

How about reducing the number of laws that have so many of my neighbors in jail? I didn't see that option. To me, that's a bias because it doesn't consider all the options.

21. As a society, we should spend more money trying to find a cure for AIDS than for cancer and heart disease because AIDS threatens younger people.

Say what? The implication here, whether you realize it or not, is that younger people don't get cancer or heart disease. Oh, no, it's not biased at all.

I got a 31 the first time and the second time I didn't answer several questions and got a 30. What do you think? Biased?

I am conservative; but also realistic.

It seems that most gun owners are fairly conservative, but realistic about some social issues. That would explain the scores in the mid 20's
