Stainless Vaquero, stainless pins ? Let a girl shop for stainless and she goes overboard. I hurt with you through the flashbacks. You WILL get better. You will also furnish entertainment for the sheeple at airport and federal building security points.

Thank God you are a survivor.

Tamara, I will keep you in my prayers for a speedy and full recovery. I have been riding with my Harley friends for years now and have almost been in a few wipes, hence I don't get on with morons anymore. Now if we could just get rid of the morons driving cars we could ride free. Hope you take the good leg to kick that guys a$$ :D If not, I'd be glad to help. Take care and hope your feeling better soon.

Tamara,
I know how you feel... you have my sympathy. I got a nifty plastic knee from a motocross accident when I was 15. Speedy recovery and our prayers are with you.

P.S. If you need a nurse...I'd be happy to offer myself. ;-)
(for the rest of you, check out her website, you'll see what I mean!)

I have had the suspiscion that a six foot, blonde, bike-riding, gun-toting, Valkyrie who reads history was too good to be true. I figured Tamara was really a hairy, overweight, ATF agent with B.O. trolling the forum on our tax dollars.

Damn! Tam! I believe! You didn't have to make the papers. You DO exist.

Heal fast. Don't tough out the pain. You will heal quicker if you manage your pain with the meds.

a word of warning!! In 1973 I had the same kind of accident and recovered - so I thought. By 1986 I had debilitating hip problems. I had to have a core decompression of the hip. It was avascular necrossis - from extreme trauma to the hip from the accident, 13 years prior. I'm from the old school as far as litigation is concerned, but this idiot that hit me cost me my physical freedom, years after I thought I was ok. Good luck, my prayers are with you. Please forgive the rant.

I work in trauma and want to make two suggestions:

1) Listen to the Doctors, they are brilliant.(just ask one, they'll tell you)

2) Ignore the Doctors, they don't know squat.

I guarantee each one of those suggestions to be true 75% of the time. :D

Good luck!!!

Best wishes for a speedy recovery from TFL's Geriatric Scooter Driver. My Number Two Son had the same accident and likewise got centerpunched. It took awhile, but he got better.
I agree with the advice to get some of the jerks money, but the important thing is to get better. Rehab sucks, but give it hell anyhow.

Better days to be,

Best speed to recovery Tamara.

Um,...is your triger finger injured...?

NRA? Good. Now join the GOA!

The NRA is our shield, the GOA will be our sword.

My wife told me I could get a motorcycle, right after the ink dried on the divorce papers. :(

I'd like a bike, but I LOVE my wife. Oh, well. Guess I'll have to settle for off-roading in a big 4x4.

You get well soon, m'am. Good thoughts on your behalf.

I'm really sorry to hear this. Last few weeks I basically stop into the Lounge, pick up my orders and hit a few threads. I didn't see this before now.

Please give Tamara our wishes for a speedy recovery.

Tamara, my best wishes for a quick recovery.
And, if you love cycling as much as I do, get back on as soon as possible. Had my first (and only) left-turn-idiot-crash back in 1966 and it took almost 20 years before I got the courage to get back on.

Tamara, Rest and heal! and tell the mysterious boyfriend Mr Hussey that he'd better treat you real well or he'll have lots angry TFL'rs to answer to! I wonder if there's a computer setup to remotely sign casts?

I've had three bikes myself. I somehow managed to avoid any major accidents, but OH BOY! have I maxed out the pucker factor a few times. The only thing wrong with motorcycles is the morons in cars.

Take care, get well and don't worry. You have alot of friends you didn't know you had. Trust me on this, I know. :)

You survived the crash,,,now do get well....and while your down...you can be planning that new ride you wanted.....I would follow all of the above advice and definitely dont let the cage driver or his insurance company get away with out ensuring your future medical care, Ive lost too many friends to fools in cars......let the memories hold ya till you can get your knees in the breeze ...fubsy.
