I just stumbled across this thread. Very nice collection of firearms! I need to spend more time cruising all the forums.
 
That's a beautiful FAL. I've often thought that if the Army hadn't cooked the books on the M14 selection process, we might have stuck with the .308 much longer and avoided the switch to 5.56.
 
I totally forgot to report on two landmarks of shooting in Switzerland : the field shooting and the compulsory shooting

I did both, in both categories, 25 m pistol and 300 m rifle

Both times we were invited in another club for the field shooting, but stayed in our own club for the compulsory shooting.

Pistol : Sig P210-6 in .30 Luger. Ordnance target.

Field is 18 shots, 3 in slow fire (20 secs per shot) and 3 X 5 shots in 50, 40 and 30 seconds

Total of 172/180, honorable mention and a medal
