Surgery tomorrow

Terridarri,

As with Lady, I'd had this as well. Several years ago. I walked around for over 22 years with the problem, and couldn't wait anymore. I was nearly paralyzed from the irritation to the spinal cord!!

First few days are kinda hairy, but get up and walk around as much as you can, and more. It will help you more than you can imagine :)

This may be gross, but try to stay away from the morphine, cause it will lock your bowels something fierce. :(

The Demerol will make it OK though

Best Regards,
Don

Best of luck to ya Terri. Having been recently carved on myself I know just how you feel. I think the hardest part is laying on that gurney waiting to get started. After that, just go with the flow.
Just remember these two words and you'll be fine. Demerol and Morphine :) Then you don't care if it hurts! :D

Terri,

May the Most Highest be with you, and all involved, during and after the surgery.

Good Luck!

I've had it done 3 times, (last one was a fusion).
You'll be amazed at the relief from pain you'll have immediately after the surgery. They get you up and walking.
in a couple of days now.
I had my first in Tehran, Iran, so I was really desperate. Turned out to be a great doctor, second one was because of scar tissue growing on nerves, (not the doctors fault). Third time was a charm, no trouble in 18 years.

My best wishes for a speedy recovery.
