Striker Pistols?

Though I have most recently come to appreciate and acquire four SIG P320s, which I like very much, I have found that as much as I like them, they have not displaced my appreciation for the M&Ps, particularly for the M&P40 and M&P45C.

When I began buying the P320s I did wonder if they would usurp my M&Ps, as the M&Ps usurped my Glocks. But I have found that my appreciation, respect, and enjoyment in shooting my M&Ps has not waned in the presence of my P320s.

I have some additional information to answer your questions regarding M&P triggers. S&W has made updates to the M&P sear, trigger bar, and slide stop over the years.

Many people are unconcerned about having to feel a strong "reset" in the trigger, but some people like to feel a reset. So, S&W made changes to some parts which make the reset more audible and palpable. They also made some changes to the sear which lightens the trigger pull. Many users are quite content with M&P triggers in recent years production models.

Those who wish for an even lighter and smoother trigger pull can always put in an Apex sear and striker block, if they so desire.

There is a lot of good information here which should bring you (and anyone interested) fully up to speed on M&P triggers:

I have M&P models made both before and since these changes were implemented. As I mentioned earlier, I installed an Apex sear and striker block in my 45C, but the rest of my M&Ps are stock and I'm very happy with the triggers in all of them. :)

tahunua001 - 90% with you on this one! I just want to add that XDs and I don't see eye to eye on anything. But everything else including the PPQ is on point.
