Still shooting left

Thanks. I'll definitely give this all a shot. Also. Now that I remember, when my buddy sighted my ar in, I was shooting poi left as well, and that was with my non dominant eye. When I sighted it in for my preference I'm dead center. Partly the reason I really want to fix this is because he's always giving me -CENSORED--CENSORED--CENSORED--CENSORED- for being a terrible shot.

Something that really helped me bring my shooting back into center with my glocks, was releasing the grip on my right hand pinky. During the shot the right hand grip would compensate the recoil by tightening and when I tighten with just my middle and ring finger it pulls the gun straight back, the pinky pulls down and to the left. I shot about 100 rounds one trip without using my right hand pinky at all and it straightened right out. My support hand still grips the same, my dominant hand i lightly rest my pinky on the gun and don't allow it to pull any when shooting or anticipating recoil. Best thing 'Ive done to help me with shooting my glocks! My hammer fired guns I don't seem to have any issues with. You might give it a try, never know it could help you out like it did me!

I figured it out. It was my stance. I had my arms out too far and locked. I brought them in with my elbows pointed out parallel to each other and I'm no longer pulling shots as often. After shooting a good group up top, I started using more of a 6 o clock hold as I've heard this pistol has, and I was hitting center of the target. Shot at 7 yards.

Looks a lot better! Besides helping your POI you'll probably find relaxing your arms a bit will reduce the level of fatigue while shooting. Having your muscles tensed fully the whole time can play hell on your shooting.

BTW, good on you for working through it.

I too have the same issue, and have always just adjusted the sights on all my guns accordingly. I figured as long as I shoot tight consistent groups why not just adjust the sights and not worry about it. But, I'm going to try your solution and see if it helps. I may be an old dog, but I think I can learn a new trick still.

I'm going to pay attention to my stance now. Honestly, that's the last thing I would have guessed.

Glad you got it figured out.

I have found that if I tighten my grip as I press the trigger the pistol WILL point to the left. I'm right handed.

If the grip is pronounced in the palm or with something small like a Glock 43 it's significantly worse.
