Steve's Pages are gone

Can't say you why Chrome is telling you that... unless it's Google censoring certain firearms related sites (which is unlikely). But it is a Google product and I don't trust Google any more than I trust Micro$oft or Apple.

Linix and Firefox here and everything always works..

Try it again... could also just be a temp glitch in the Interwebz?

Sounds like a DNS problem to me; it should resolve itself pretty soon. Probably has to do with the registration expiring, and it just hasn't been updated everywhere yet.

Nah, wouldn't be a DNS issue... Registration has been current again now for almost 9 months. I'm guessing it's a chrome/google issue for some reason.

OH!!! I almost forgot to mention!

Steve had written up a bunch of his recipes years ago and never posted them.
I put them up and folks that have tried them are raving! Here's a report from yesterday on a hog recipe someone tried...

"Report on hog recipe from Steves Pages
Took the shoulder and deboned it like the recipe calls for. For once I followed the recipe to the letter with only deviation being I cooked it outside on the gas grill with no smoke. Like an outdoor oven so to speak. Momma was off today and didn't want the house all hot from the oven... It's a good thing she still works or we would be at each other anymore. But I set the grill for just under 300 and left it alone for 3 hrs, went back turned it off and went down to the barn for about an hr came back took it in and got everything on a big platter and the meat just fell apart. One of the best recipes for hog I have found. Had great taste and was super tender, and the hog was a big one not a pig. Will do this one again. The taters were soaked in the meat juice as they cooked and OH LORD they were good."

It did not take me long to look at it and figure the hog receipt had nothing to do with what the hog was shot with.

All I know about cooking I learned from my grandfather on my dads’ side. He said open the door, build a big fire and wait until it gets hot then wrap whatever you are going to smoke and then place it over the fire. And then; close the door and do not open it until the fire goes out. When the fire goes out take the hog, turkey etc., into the house and have the wife finish it.

He was a fan of the leaver policy, close the lid/door and leaver closed until the fire goes out.
