spousal support

Welcome to our household:

My husband and I are going shooting for our anniversary next Tuesday, and are going to rent a FULL-AUTO (never have shot one B4)! I'm SO excited!! :) :D

For he and I, guns, RKBA, shooting, (heck, anything having to do w/ guns) is our passion!!!! He taught me how to shoot, and introduced me to guns (every other b/f thought girls and guns didn't mix). I owe him a lot! :)

BTW, We are expecting some insurance money soon, and we've already got His and Hers Mossbergs picked out (his: a Marinecote 590, mine: a 500 w/ combo-stock)!!! :D Now we're arguing about what kind of AR to buy, maybe we'll have to get his and hers ARs as well! :D
Ain't life great?!

It seems I'm one of the only TFLers whose significant other is also a TFLer! :D

My wife and I have so much in common it's scary. We could almost be twins except that she's a couple years older than I. (Honey, don't hurt me! :D ) She'll be making a snide/sarcastic comment, or a joke or something, and I'll finish it, and it's exactly what she was gonna say. She does the same thing to me, too. We generally don't find ourselves in disagreement on anything except IF we're going to buy a gun, and WHAT it will be! :D

She filled a void in my life that really needed filling. We can talk about anything, and POOF 3 hours have gone by! Often times, I'll still be blithely blathering along, when she'll remind me that it's 4am and time to go to bed. Stupid space-time continuum...

She goes with me to the range every time, and I don't even have to wheedle! "Honey, wanna go to the range?" WHOOSH
She's started the car and is castigating me for my pokiness cuz I'm not out the door yet! :D

When it comes to buying guns, our finances are such that we can't go buy a gun whenever the fancy strikes us. When we do have extra money, she's usually more practical than I am- Child#1 needs shoes, it's time for Child#2's to see the Dr, the house needs a new widget, etc. etc. whereas, I'm thinkin' "Oh boy! Buy an AR? Buy a Steyr M40? Or finally put PT sights on our SIGs?". I guess I'm spoiled and 5 "toys" between the two of us ain't enough!!! :o

Wakal,
You are a shameless braggart and seem to delight in rubbing salt in the wounds of those of us less fortunate.

I guess I would too!

Jedi, I wonder just how many husband/wife teams there really are here on TFL. There's you and Darthmaum, and right up above there's wakal and SIGshooter, there's sbryce and Mrs. sbryce. But there's got to be more. I see husband/wife teams at the range all the time, so I would think the same ratio applies to TFL.

Are there any more of you out there that post but don't make it known or obvious that you have more than guns in common?

When I first started dating, she wasn't too happy about me getting my dad's P-38 to keep in my house. After a few months, she saw the crime and warmed a little. I took her to a range, and she felt a little better. Eventually, I asked her to go to a local NRA pistol/personal protection class, and I went with her. I'm now an instructor for the class, and my wife is rarely without a gun...she even has HER .45 tucked in between the mattress and box springs on HER side! She is the financial officer of the house by my choice, but she still lets me get toys. Now I have a pretty goo0d collection going, and just added an AK-47!!! WooHoo!
