Coinneach,
Only the naivete' expressed in your first post in the thread. :)

Jeff OTMG,
Busy! Too busy at times. How'd the primary go for you?

George Hill,
The puke face for the 1911? :( Good idea! :D

Worf - BAR (the original kind). I'm aware this is the handgun forum. :D

Chief O'Brian 1911 of some type (tinker tinker)
McCoy would have a Colt SSA Southern Gentleman you know
Dr Bashier PPK
Beverly Crusher Sig of some type
Kirk Kahr You know how he loved those little Cricket Phasers easy to conceal
Cisco give him the Pimp gun

I'd rather have one of those Type III phasers with say.....four backup power packs (:

Sisko would be carrying a Remington 870, bore job by Vang. Backup piece would be a Smith model 629 with 4" barrel.

Bones is an old single-action man. Definitely would have to be Colt SA Army in .45 Colt.

Scotty has got to be a Python kind of guy.

I agree, Picard is a PPK type. Kirk would carry a Smith model 586 with 6" barrel.

Jeff, I agree with Worf and the BAR :D But he could easily handle an M60 ;)

RikWriter, I stand corrected.

Frontsight, you and I are watching different shows, except to match Worf with the .454 Casull (.44 Mag at least).

9X19, I wish you a real good time talking this one out with George.

Ivanhoe, you have Scotty pegged. But Sisko would carry a box-stock Mossberg 590A1, an M-7 bayonet (razor sharp) and a great big Glock.

Bones=definitely an old single action, and the rest of the landing party would have to be after him constantly to make sure he carried it.

Spock would go with a Steyr M40 because it's a more Glock than a Glock, has more safety features, and is (if possible) even more utilitarian than a Glock.

Kirk? 1911. No question.

Picard? Sig 229. He's got class...

Warf? 2 Desert Eagles...

Janeway? Kahr M9's.

Ferengi Rule of Acquisition #581:

Convince the customer that he needs an ambidextrous extended slide stop, high profile adjustable sights and a full length guide rod from the "Ferengi Custom Combat Tactical Shop".

:D

Work - Bowen .50 AE revolver (combining power with tradition, a Klingon trademark)

Kirk - gold plated Desert Eagle (he's insecure about the power of his gun) which he will put away during firing scenes and use his gold-plated PPK (he heard it was the gun for lady-killer adventurers)

Picard - pre-WWII Detective Special (he loves detective stories)

Scotty - 1911 he put together himself on an STI frame (he loves to tinker but actually likes dealing with the latest technology)

Deanna - none, just a high cut skirt/low cut blouse. Like she needs a gun then!

Riker - I just can't see that underacting wimp with anything. Sorry!

Sisko - 6" Python in Ultimate Stainless, naturally (damn, he would have made a good Shaft!)

O'Brien - Glock (he prefers to think of himself as an engineer, not a soldier, so wouldn't tinker with a weapon)

Chekov - Stechkin (he was always a bit of an overreacher)

Wesley - whatever is available when he tries to do himself in one of his fits of teenage angst (damn those child-locks on phasers! if not for them, we wouldn't have had to put up with him!)

Data - Steyr - complex internal structure, made out of plastic, gee, they're relatives!

Bones - derringer. A Southern tradition.

Lt. Barclay - Sig of some kind. He's so paranoid, he won't take the risk that his weapon might fail. :)

Major Kira - Makarov (symbol of oppressed peoples and liberation forces everywhere)

Whoops, almost forgot Spock: suppressed Beretta .22 (choice of civilized intel operators throughout the known universe and if you're good enough to use it properly, why use anything else?). Quiet (good for the environment), effective (round through the eye, anyone?), concealable (don't want to frighten the horses). Should he require something more, a Kahr 9 with Gemtech suppressor.

Naïvete? Nay, I was not expressing my belief that the thread would not devolve; rather, that was a clumsily-veiled threat.

Kirk is a maverick. No way would he go for a "traditional" 1911.

He'd be an HK man for sure. :)

CMOS

------------------
NRA? Good. Now join the GOA!

The NRA is our shield, the GOA will be our sword.

Chekov- a Makarov, eh? :)
Bones- no gun at all ("Dammit Jim, I'm a doctor, not a gunfighter")
Worf - minigun like Jesse in Predator
Troi- "nickel-plated sissy pistol" (walther, etc.)
Dr. Crusher- same
Pickard - stainless .357 6" wheelgun
Riker - HK SOCCOM
Spock & Data - yeah, Glock is the logical choice - whoever said Spock would put a chrome slide and laser on and wear it around his quarters because of his human side - LOL :D
Whoopie - whistle to call for help

Han Solo - 1911
Luke - Desert Eagle

If we're adding Star Wars . . .

R2D2 with a mini-gun. Wait, that exists. It's called Phalanx. 10 points to the person who can identify what Phalanx was said to look like when first introduced.

I was going to guess Oscar the Grouch with a woody, hiding under his garbage can.

Gee, this is fun! First the Captains:

Kirk: S&W Model 29, six inch barrel. He's seen too many Dirty Harry holovids.

Picard: Adams .450 service revolver circa 1880. He's a historian, after all.

Sisko: A practical man, he'd carry a Glock 21 to use in case his Russian Saiga folding-stock entry shotgun went through its entire 20 round magazine of 12 gauge 00 buck.

Janeway: Stylish, likes hi-tech. .357 Sig pro.

First Officers:

Spock: Para-Ordinance P-14 with extended barrel and Reed Knight suppressor. A tool logically designed for the job.

Riker: A Kel-Tec P-11 that won't spoil the cut of his uniform.

Major Kira Nerys: Beretta 92FS and a belt full of hi-caps -- if you can't outshoot 'em, outlast 'em.

Chakotay: Colt Single Action Army passed down from ancestors who got it as a premium when they bought 5 cases of fire water from the white man.

Security Officers:

Chekhov: A Stetchkin. Auto pistol was inwented in Russia, da?

Worf: H&K Socom. Anything smaller and he can't get all his fingers on it.

Tasha Yar: Grew up a street kid. A Glock 19, and she holds it sideways.

Odo: Doesn't carry. Just morphs his arm into a Browning M1 .50 Cal.

Tuvok: Steyr M series in .357 SIG. Another logical weapon, in his Captain's caliber.

Engineers:

Scotty: Ed Brown "Bobtail" 1911 in .400 Cor-Bon. "The right tool for the right job, laddie!"

La Forge: Browning Hi-Power with laser sights linked to his VISOR.

O'Brien: SIG P220 in .45ACP. Prefers practical to stylish.

B'elanna Torres: Glock 21 with Robar .45 Super conversion. If she shoots 'em they STAY shot.

Doctors:

Bones: None. Dammit, Jim, I'm a Doctor, not Wyatt Earp!

Crusher: Ruger .22 autopistol used with surgical accuracy.

Bashir: .32 ACP Walther PPK. The name's Bashir. Julian Bashir.

The Holographic Doctor: Injector full of thorazine.

Others:

Sulu: WWII surplus Nambu.

Unhura: 2-inch S&W Chiefs Special in a thigh holster.

Wesley Crusher: A Kel-Tec P-11 because he wants to be like Riker.

Guinan: .45 derringer.

Deanna Troi: Chrome-plated .25ACP Lorcin with Ivory Grips. It was the cutest one in the store.

Quark, the Ferengi bartender: Keeps a sawed-off Mossberg pump behind the bar, carries a Colt Detective Special IWB and a .25 Baby Browning behind each ear. All are for sale.

The Borg Queen: Glocks are irrelevant. SIGs are irrelevant. This pair of Uzis, on the other hand, is very relevant!

David Scott, this is fun. I see where you're coming from. But I'd like to think Chacotay's ancestors got the Colt as a non-voluntary "souveneer" of the transaction.
