Jeff, if the choice is farm animals and hay vs. wine and French Women - the choice is clear.

Spock would carry a Glock as unemotional Vulcans with their advanced intelligence would understand that you keep your finger off the trigger.

They would also build a gun that most of the time works out of the box unlike ...

What's the StarDate for 1911 anyway?

I hadn't thought of it that way, but I suppose Spock would've gone Glock, but Kirk would've been a 1911 kind of guy. Picard would probably have gone with the Chauchau. National pride, you know.

Kirk would choose the 1911 since it's totally reliable out of the box and still has a feel of quality to it, unlike the tupperware toys.

Ahem.

This will NOT turn into another stupid p!ssing match between 1911ers and Glockers and SIGers and HKers etc ad nauseam.

Understood?

Picard:
"Oh dear, they appear to be attacking. Number one, call a meeting for all senior officers in my ready room. And Wesley, stop crying. I'll have Whoopie...er.. 'Gaia' bring you a cookie later."

Kirk:
"Won't answer our hail? Set phasers to slaughter and fire! Mr Sulu, all ahead full!"

C'mon, who's cooler?

Hahahahahahahahahaha!

Oh yeah... Glock Perfection! :D

Make mine lean, mean, and 9x19!

Spock would go Glock because of the no bells no whistles of the firearm. It is the LOGICAL choice.

Kirk, on the other hand, would have the gaudiess gold and chrome-plated 50 AE Desert Eagle at his side. The only gun that can match his over-inflated ego and space pimp lifestyle.

Now, Scotty, he'd be a 1911 man all the way.

Bones? Uhura? Somebody else can figure that one out...

You know, I do have to say that my Smith & Wesson Models 19, 28, and 58 and I are laughing at ALL of you.

Wankers. :D

Beware the man with the S&W .357 Mag.
Chances are he knows how to use it.

Bones - anti - none. Will stick close to Spock.

Uhura - some sort of Derringer, carried in cleavage.

Mr. Chekov a Mak for sure :D
Troi a Derringer in the cleavage ;)
Commander Riker a Walther P99 :D
Data a Glock :D
Have to think about the others, But I really think they would all stick with their phasers they are much cooler :)

One to beam up, Mr. Scott :D

A Glock for Spock showed logical reasoning. Although he is half human, so he would get a chrome slide and a laser/flashlight unit and wear it around in his quarters when nobodys looking.
Kirk seems to me to be more of a Hi-Power kind of guy to me.
Scotty 1911 like somebody already said.
Picard would have some little snubbie revolver.
Riker a big Desert Eagle with a scope and in Gold Chrome finish.
Troi would have a little Beretta Tomcat
Wesley, Gamo BB gun :)

Ledbetter, who said Colt? I said 1911. But I have to admit I have never owned a Colt 1911 that wasn't reliable right out of the box. Same for my Kimbers and the Springfield Armory pistols I have owned.
The alleged need for tweeking is a myth.

Lets see:

Darth Vader would have a blued Desert Eagle,
Han Solo would have a stainless Beretta 92FS, and WHOOPS wrong show/movie :P

AK-47, When you absolutely have to kill every mother&*$#er in the room...accept no substitutes.

Browning Hi-Power, What went wrong during 65 years?

Don't forget that Riker would be wearing a large velour/shag cow print sombrero with high-heeled gold lame' boots and a fake gold pocket watch. He'd also have a couple of ho's in tow, making sure that everyone knew he had the "pimp" model gold finish DE. Piccard would definately pack a PPK...he's just too darned image consious to carry something larger, even if he could. Warf (sp?) would be packin' the 1911, in the least! Maybe a .454 Casull...now that would be cool.
